Not too sweet, just nice. Not too sick just nice. Simple bacon scramble eggs w waffles can be heaven when you havent have a good week so far. Worth the miles of walk. Oh yes.

A mixture of greens, including arugula, purple cabbage and lettuce, with sautéed mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, quail eggs, orange slices and 2 hefty pieces of Cajun-spiced chicken breast. Was pleasantly surprised by how tender and flavourful the chicken was :D I rarely just have salad for dinner (in fact, this is my first time) so I was thankful for the meat and eggs, and yummy addition of fruit and mushrooms to break the monotony of raw vege. I had a choice of lemon or balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The fresh vegetables tasted pretty good on their own too. This salad costs $10+ for a good portion, but I had the salad + pizza set ($13.80) which I felt was more value for money :)

Simply adored the earl grey tea and the horlicks infused ice cream to top it on the waffles crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Paired it with chamomile tea to 'hopefully' counter the sinfulness of this very dessert.

One of the new items that is being introduced in their revamped menu. No doubt it takes the place of the popular PB&J French Toast (I am allergic to peanuts), but that means I can finally have a taste of their French Toast. The toast was soft, moist and tasty with the eggy batter; a real delight when you cut it with the knife as its really pillowy. The Kaya infuses a coconut-y flavour, which is well complimented with the aromatic coconut flakes and the fragrant coconut ice-cream. Despite having butter filled within the stuffed french toast, it felt not a wee bit greasy as well. Something I will definitely go for again!

It takes a lot of willpower to resist ordering everything at Lady M - everything looks SO GOOD. Their signature Mille Crepe seems to be synonymous with their name, and with good reason. Think "20 silky sheets of handmade crepes alternated with pastry cream, with a golden, caramelised top. Melt-in-the-mouth goodness.". If you're a fan of green tea and in luck - go for the seasonal green tea version.

Japanese inspired french pastry? Why yes, please! With over 20 years of Japanese baking experience, Chef Yamashita gets his inspiration from flowers. "Flor", pronounced in Japanese as "fu-ro-ru", means "flower". Every cake is almost like an art piece, full of color and vibrant but balanced flavor- perfect for a special occasion. If you're looking for a bite of heaven on-the-go, grab their ice cheese tartlets in any flavor you please, cos they're so.damn.good.

This unassuming bakery will surprise you with its variety, affordability and quality. It is rare to find a neighborhood bakery that does such unique buttercream variations, and Pine Garden does it remarkably well. Popular flavors include their Lychee Martini (at only $2.50 a slice) and the Hazelnut Chocolate Crunch Cake. These guys even do custom wedding and birthday cakes along with Asian pastries!

A very hungry Burppler, Celest, puts it perfectly: "This is chocolate - in cake form". Don't bother resisting the urge, just buy a whole cake and we assure you it'll be love at first bite. You won't want to share it, but you'll have to, cos it's just too darn good. It's a tough fight between the original and the dark chocolate, they're both excellent. Their molten lava cake is a must-try as well, with warm oozing cake sitting atop cold ice cream in cup- the perfect combination of hot and cold with extra oozy chocolate!

Ok, we're gonna close one eye, and consider the humble Swiss roll as a form of cake. Simple yet extremely delicious, we love how good things come in a roll. These classic Swiss rolls are perfect for a simple afternoon tea with the family, with traditional flavors like kaya, durian and mango. Those who queue for these rolls often buy 5 to 10 rolls at a go, distributing them among family members and colleagues. We recommend you do the same!
