Even back then we had taken precaution and took our drinks outside under the sun where there was no crowd. Most people avoid the hot sun in Singapore.

Today, let's continue to do social distancing, avoid going to crowded places and be socially responsible for our health and safety.

And another highlight was their healthy choices menu.

Botanic Plate (VG) | S$24, served with grilled tofu, quinoa tabbouleh, smoked eggplant, cassava, sauerkraut and pickles. My personal choice and recommendation because I really like it. Love all the colours and very tasty too.

Organic Pork | S$36, served with sauce gribiche and roasted peppers. The pork was tender and juicy!

Guacamole (V) | S$9, served with picked shallot and crisps. Who loves guacamole dip? I like it with my nachos!

CAKE!

Pandan is a common flavor infused in Asian delicacies. Since SnapBurp can no longer bake as the household oven broke down, we resorted to buying one!

Featuring Pandan Chiffon Cake | S$24.80 from @oldsengchoong in collaboration with @susanne.decochiffon, smelled heavenly of Pandan the moment of unboxing. The cake was pillowy soft, airy, moist and it definitely brought back some nostalgic moments! It tasted legit of Pandan, you know it's made of the real deal rather than artificial flavoring only.

If you aren't keen of stepping out of the house but would love to have your teeth sinking in, you could always order online and have it delivered to your doorstep at a charge.

This is a kopi gao in a cone literally! In fact they are made with Nanyang coffee beans.

Featuring Kopi C Siew Dai from @the.humblescoop. If you are in Katong area, you can find your scoop of happy scream inside Katong Shopping Center.

They have many more local inspired unique flavours which you cannot find easily elsewhere!

Orh-Bee-Good (Pulut Hitam)
In-Kueh-Dible ( Salted Coconut & Gula Melaka)
Old School Chocolate
Kopi C Siew Dai
Oolong Milk Tea
Guava Sourplum
Strawberry Lassi (Strawberry Yogurt)

Instead of finding time to go Jewel, I can enjoy my Lobster Roll @raffleshotelsingapore which is walking distance from City Hall MRT Station.

Checked out my Original Lobster Roll (S$40) filled with juicy lobster meat dressed in lemon mayo served in their toasted brioche roll. The fries, salad, lemon and garlic butter were served as sides. All I need was a squeeze of lemon and it was unbelievably clawsome!

Impossible made vegan possible @burgerandlobstersg!

Featuring The Impossibleβ„’ Burger that I have been meaning to try out ($23). A plant-based burger patty on a butternut squash bun with red pepper coulis, aged cheddar, lightly spiced guacamole, jalapenos, kale and beef tomato.

The burger patty was flavorful and the texture was similar to a meat patty. I could have been fooled because it taste like meat! Reminded me somewhat of luncheon meat. The only feedback was we felt that the patty was slightly thick but certainly juicy.

Dolsot Bibimbap | $18 from Kho Kho Na Ra, served with protein options of chicken, beef or pork. Ordered the pork and my favorite condiments on the Bibimbap were the runny egg yolk and seaweed flakes!

After all that k-drama, surely we must not miss the korean fried chicken! We ordered the Combo Chicken Set ($25) and my favourite goes to the original fried chicken for the perfect crunch!

Traveling to Serangoon to try out the Swiss Rolls by @cafeplainjane was worth the calories! We had a feast with the various rolls available on the day.

Raspberry
Ispahan with Lychee Jelly
Earl Grey
Dirty Chai
Matcha Latte

Our top favorite was the Ispahan with Lychee Jelly that had a lovely subtle blend of rose flavor. The sponge cake was light and airy.

If Earl Grey is your favorite tea blend, you may enjoy their Earl Grey Swiss Roll. We felt that the sponge cake was not as light and airy as the others but the citrusy filling was really rich!

Overall, it was a lovely afternoon with delicious cakes and hot drinks!

After seeing @mightyfoodie review on this Durian Ondeh Ondeh Cake from @adeshomebake, I couldn't resist getting one.

Very much enjoy the durian layered in the pandan sponge cake with Gula Melaka and desiccated coconut. It wasn't sweet and the best indulgent dessert ever.

Each time I open my fridge door, I couldn't help myself reaching for the cake! When I shared this durian cake dilemma, my friend remarked: "Your fridge must really smell then!" Durian fanatic may be able to relate to this joke?

Found a hidden gem @carraracafesg where they serve my favorite pungent fruit!

D24 Durian ice cream at S$3.20 per scoop is a steal when it is so rich and creamy! This was paired with their Red Velvet Waffle (S$8.40), drizzled with chocolate sauce and cookie crumbles.

PS: I will be your perfect date if you wish to buy me you-know-what!
