Instead of trying the crispy meng jeng kueh this time, we tried the non-crispy traditional coconut meng jeng kueh! We got the curry puff again! Super love their crispy buttery curry puff! We thought one curry puff was enough for sharing, but apparently it was not. We went to order another sardine puff! π

Have actually seen and walked past YM Bakery at PLQ mall multiple times, however this is my FIRST time trying it!
They are an unpretentious no-frill bakery! They have a wide selection of tarts, and at affordable pricing!
Ordered a Peary Peart Tart ($27.50) to celebrate a family birthday occasion! Pear tarts are quite rare to find, and this was a masterpiece! I especially loved the buttery crispy hard crust shells! The pear was also so nicely poached!
If you are ordering whole tarts, you can FB msg them to make your reservation 2 days beforehand. Payment will be required via paynow/paylah to confirm your order. You can inform them whether you want your tart cut/uncut. They also provided complimentary Happy Birthday sign and candles!

Was wandering around Beauty World figuring out what to buy. Saw the long line for Wanton Mee (04-19) so we decided to join the queue!
Got the signature dry wanton noodle ($5.80) which comes with two fried wanton, two soup wanton, charsiew and minced meat sauce over wanton noodles. What is special about this is the minced meat sauce! Noodles were also qq and springy.

Hearty comfort food! The food was also served pretty quick! The hotplate beancurd was not what we expected though! (lol no photos to see when ordering)

The crab dishes are real affordable, at just $28! There are 4 choices to choos from: Vermicelli Crab, White Pepper Bee Hoon Crab, Chilli Crab with Bun & Garlic Steam Crab. I highly recommend the Vermicelli Crab! The vermicelli soaked up all the sauce so so good! Plus the crab was meaty and fresh!
Also tried this Okinawa Soft Bean Curd in Pork Soup Stock! Very comforting food though the soup has nothing else besides the soft beancurd tofu

All the set meal comes with pork miso, pickles and peanut beancurd!
The okinawa soup noodle set meal we got comes with pork belly and pork rib, best of both world! Super love the okinawa chewy qq noodles and the comforting soup!
Another highlight for me here is the okinawa seasoned rice with pork! The rice has seaweed, carrots and pork bits in it. Super good!
Tip: You can call to make reservation at this restaurant if you have plans to head here, so you can get seats inside the restaurant, which has more privacy! Otherwise, if you walk in like us, you will most likely be allocated the tables outside the restaurant along the walkway

Li Yuan Japanese Fusion Mee Pok!
Long time since I last ate this, and there is some revamp in menu!
We got the Japan fusion mee pok miso /shoyu (dry) to try! ($7 for small portion, $8 for large portion). You can also opt for spicy options for the miso/shoyu base. Comes with a huge slice of tonkotsu, sliced pork, minced pork as well as imitation abalone.
Rich and savoury flavours! Love the chewy mee pok texture too!
