opted for the spicy version but the spice was alot milder than expected. the broth was rich and flavourful, v decent for the price!! the noodles also remained springy despite being soaked in the broth for some time ๐๐ป ajitama was done well while the chashu was on the fattier side which wasnโt to my liking.
amazed by how good this was, especially for the price point!!! noodles were springy and held the savoury umami sauce really well. truffle flavour was also sufficiently distinct ๐๐ป they didnโt skimp on the ingredients either. there was a good portion of tender pork belly cubes though i personally found them too fatty. the black fungus literally had no taste lol but i guess it helped cut through the rich savoury flavours. overall a really decent bowl of ramen that iโd defo be back for!!
simple but satisfying burger! all the components were executed well โ toasty buns, creamy scrambled eggs and bacon was flavourful yet not too oily ๐๐ปitโs served with curly fries, which was good as usual
potato hash patty with smoked salmon, sour cream, baby spinach, radish slices, ikura and a poached egg on the side. looked small but it turned out to be filling enough! hash was super crispy and flavourful and they were v generous with the smoked salmon!! ๐คฉ the only letdown was the poached egg which wasnโt runny :โ(
a perfect refreshing treat for the hot weather!!! it came with matcha soft serve, matcha warabi mochi, red bean paste and brown sugar jelly. the standout for me was the chewy warabi mochi which i loveeee and usually get an entire box of ๐ the red bean paste was not too sweet and complemented the soft serve. the jellies at the bottom were forgettable tbh. didnโt have much taste, just for texture i guess?? not the most intense matcha iโve had but still earthy enough and defo satisfied my matcha cravings ๐ต
unexpectedly preferred this over my usual order, their assorted bara chirashi don. but then again, iโm biased towards anything with mentaiko so ๐ the salmon was just lightly aburi-ed and it had a decent amount of mentaiko, which was creamy without being too overpowering.
roasted pistachio ($4.90 + $1 premium + $1 cone)
roasted sesame ($4.90 + $1 cone)
their gelato is deserving of all the raving reviews bc both flavours were so goooood. super creamy, smooth and had a balanced sweetness which i rly appreciate!! roasted pistachio was vv nutty, almost like i was eating the actual nut. more savoury than i was expecting!! preferred the roasted sesame slightly more bc of how robust and earthy it was. literally tasted like black ssm paste except in ice cream form!!! must-try for bssm lovers ๐ฏ
as for the cones, BOPโs is unbeatable la but theirs won me over with its buttery flavour and delightfully crisp texture, which lasted throughout even though we took awhile to finish our scoops!! worth the $1 top up ๐๐ป
been quite some time since my last visit but it still tastes as good as i remember. noodles are cooked to perfection as usual, super springy and chewy, and the broth is packed with wokhei ๐ฎโ๐จ level 1 is getting a lil mild for me (though a note of caution it is rly quite spicy) so i might try level 2 next time!
a hearty brunch platter!!! esp liked the creamy scrambled eggs, buttery brioche toast and the juicy sautรฉed mushrooms!! ๐ you get to choose between smoked salmon and bacon. i opted for the former and they were sooo generous with it omg canโt tell here but thereโs more underneath the salad. only components i didnโt quite like was the sausage which was a tad salty and hot tomatoes just arenโt really my kinda thing. but otherwise itโs rather well-executed and portion is huge so defo a bang for your buck!! ๐๐ป
one of their bestsellers and for good reason!! the combination of the tender beef slices, runny onsen egg simmered in a warm flavourful broth ๐คค and not forgetting their smooth qq udon noodles!!! has just the right amount of chewiness ๐๐ป the broth was sweet and savoury but veering towards the salty side so i wouldnโt drink too much of it :โ)
to be fair, the toppings were not bad and i especially liked the smoked duck which was tender and not too salty, but the pesto sauce was like 80% cream 20% pesto and i donโt eat anything cream-based ๐ฉ was kinda disappointed once it was served since the green hue was rather faint but thankfully it didnโt taste too jelak. had heard that their pasta can be inconsistent and unfortunately that day, the pasta was overcooked and mushy which was honestly the biggest turnoff ๐ฅฒ to me, the pasta itself makes or breaks the entire dish so i felt i couldnโt enjoy it properly even though the other aspects were okay.
my favourite out of everything we ordered!! a slight bummer it wasnโt that crispy BUT it was especially umami and fragrant bc of the fried shallots and dried shrimps. the toppings took it to a new level ๐ฎโ๐จ
