Moved to the basement near one north mrt lies this simple looking yet pretty delicious BKT. Haven’t had a decent bowl since the old days at sin ming road. $10.50 including all extra charges for a set meal during lunch time inclusive or an extra drink and veggie dish doesn’t sound too bad for an occasional treat.

Usually I get them at hougang mall, but recently I have been frequently traveling to different malls in JB to get some really cheap food that is worth the money.

The key difference here is such that the Singapore version has little fish meat to offer while in Malaysia they give large chunks of meat (not sure if it’s sardine) but it’s definitely a kick for me!

A must order for those who loves eating paella, I don’t usually post stuff these days but gosh, I literally ate each grain of rice with the toughest restrain due to my low carb diet but just can’t help it to get that burst of freshness in my mouth again.

Maybe I shall try their tapas someday!

A place to give a try. Avoid the crowded timings though, the queue can be really long. Shrimps were terrifically tasty but I wished there were more of them...

Pretty decent meal with well marinated duck meat and sufficient pieces of goose liver.

Certainly worth its pricier price tag. Thick chunks of beef even though the noodles really looked radioactively green.

Always tried to visit this stall at Macpherson road, at finally on a Saturday it was open! Brought my brother along and he mentioned that the soup they provided had a strong peppery taste and it tasted like Bak Kit Teh somehow! Chili and the wontons were really good and sure to eat it again if I drop by!

$4 kolo mee at Bukit merah hawker centre. A pretty quiet place to have a late lunch! Noodles were really legitimately Sarawak style, the char siew and minced pork were not too hard, went well with the noodles!

Having tried the rest of the Tsuta ramen, I picked up my courage and ordered their dry ramen. When you look around in the restaurant and realizes that you are the only one who ordered this tells a lot about this dish. It was not that bad, but it wasn’t delicious, it was bland at best, the meat was good, but nothing went well together as each part of the dish felt like an individual dish. After I finished this, a Caucasian came in and ordered this, after I finished the noodles with some difficulty, I could see some regret on her face as she had the first bite...

In recent years, popularity of vegetarian restaurants has sent the prices skyrocketing due to limited supply. However, at this elderly home in the heartland of Seng kang, we found this really affordable vegetarian restaurant at the second floor of the home, dishes were really affordable at $4 and of great variety.

At $5.50, it’s pretty worth it for substantial amount of pork parts given. A pretty good place for family dinners as they serve many different versions of black chicken soup too!

Seems like ramen egg with bak chor mee is in the trend right now. Anyways, the Mee Pok was really different from the usual Mee Pok that I have tried. It texture was a little harder with uneven thickness that made itself stood out from the rest of its competitors. It’s minced poor was also slightly over cooked for a tougher texture to chew on. There are really too many bak chor mee to try out these days...
