These were really out-of-this-world good! Each sphere is just filled with lime mojito, which is so fragile it bursts with a single touch, which leaks out a zingy yet dreamy flavour. And for those who wonders what happens to the skin; nope you can't feel the existence to it. It just melts in the mouth away with the mojito!

Various parts of fresh bluefin tuna sashimi chunks on rice, which include tuna belly and salmon roe.

Priding themselves as Thailand's No. 1 place for wanton noodles and pig trotters is BaaMee Bangkok. Their original wanton noodles are good already, but since you're already there, what you really ought to go for is their specialty tom yum wanton noodles. With noodles of great texture, great flavour, and a great spicy kick, what's not to love? Be warned, though, the blast from the tom yum is not for the fainthearted. To complete your experience at BaaMee, make sure you try their pig trotters as well! It is their specialty after all. ;)

Amongst all the dishes we had at Milagro, this came out tops for me. Perfectly cooked, the octopus was beautifully tender without any rubbery texture at all. Presented on a small wooden board, it looked prettily inviting as well. This dish was meant to be shared but I must admit I swiped most of the octopus for myself. Shhhhh....

I am very picky about my oysters when having them raw. Sure, those anorexic looking, mineral-tasting ones have their fans but the oysters that get the license to slide into my mouth are the voluptuous variety that deliver a decadent creaminess. This platter dazzled not just me but every single person at the table. We almost came to blows over the last one 😜

NEW cafe spotted - opened by former DJ Daniel Ong and his wife, former Ms Singapore Universe, Jaime Teo, owner of Twelve Cupcakes and Dulce & Sucre. This 4 days old cafe served crispy pork belly with meat that is crispy and crunchy. Love the fats that melts in the mouth and would appreciate if there is more fats!!

Tai Seng may be a sleepy industrial estate that seems to have nothing in relation to coffee and brunch, but the recent opening of TheCommerz saw a bunch of eateries commencing operations at the first level of the industrial building. 23Jumpin is one of them that is hidden behind dark tinted glass. It is the first F&B venture for the owner, and him mum helms the kitchen and churns out all-day brunch and entrees. Must-tries include the Duck Confit which is all tender and comes with a really delicious tangy citrus sauce that sends the oomph to your tastebuds. While desserts are supplied, the Jumpin's Original Cotta is a creation unique to 23Jumpin; a fortunate result of miscommunication that they decided to stick to and offer as a permanent menu item instead. Coffee is also something to boast; they use a zero-acidity blend from a local coffee roaster to suit the tastes of locals. With the food served at reasonable rates, there is no reason why you should not head down for a visit!

A crusty fried donut filled with plenty of cream cheese and premium ham, adds a delightful dimension to every bite. There is an unique array of exclusive artisanal breads, but sadly they were all sold out I'll be back for sure.

Kueh Ambon is just one Kueh I cannot resist; usually the first thing that I will scout for in any stall that sells Kuehs. The one from Galicier had a citrusy taste on top of the sweetness and soft as the fork sinks into the streaky holes within.

Finally got to try this! If only they had made it hotter and the cheese was more flowy (but less flowy also means less oil which is a good thing) I love the baguette's crunchy exterior and the softness of the bread and the creamy cheesy interior. Yum!
