Pizzas are served 4-9PM, & are of a comfortable portion to finish on your own. Be forewarned though, I have a pretty big appetite - but I’m sure you can take some to go if you’re absolutely stuffed.

My friend picked the Hold My Salami ($23++), which has spicy salami & beef sausage filling as the primary toppings. Sausages are usually not my go-to choice, but I gave this a shot. It was enjoyable, & the sausages were flavourful without being incredulously salty.

The housemade tomato sauce & tzatziki sauce cut through the meaty flavours in a way that did everything a favour, not clashing with anything. Topped with mozzarella & cheddar cheese, this was a winning pizza in our books.

The vibes at Yeastside’s newer outlet differs from that of their OG one at King Albert Park. Yeastside Farrer Park is actually located adjacent to the lobby of lyf Farrer Park Hotel, with comfortable indoor air-conditioned seats.

Orders are placed at the counter & will be served to you - if they remember to give you a table number standee thing. They forgot to give one to us & our pizza was aimlessly wandering around for a bit 😂 But no issue, as the space is small & found its way to us quickly.

They have a plethora of beers & cocktails on tap - both local brews & otherwise. Keeps things fresh & interesting! I took my American friend here to try some Singaporean beers & he enjoyed them very much. Something off the typical “touristy agenda”, yet still uniquely Singaporean.

My favourite dish of the night was the Buah Keluak Nutella Pate with Toast. Of course, this is because I actually enjoy liver & buah keluak - which are polarizing ingredients, but are obviously key in the flavours of this appetizer. This was practically like an umami kind of dark chocolate that isn't sweet. (I mean this is the best way possible)

It's served in an actual TUB - crazy generous & plentiful. Pro-tip: Don't be stingy when spreading this across your 1st slice of rye sourdough bread... There really is a lot to go around. Portion control, please 👌

The HBB Hainanese Braised Brisket is dubbed as "more beef than bun", & truly lives up to this description. The chonky slices of beef brisket are thiccc & juicy, with pickled mustard lending some acidity to this burger. This was more flavourful than I expected, & I enjoyed it thoroughly as I sipped on my beer.

We tried 2 out of 4 burgers on their menu - & tbh it was difficult for me to choose which one was my favourite 🥺

The meat of choice in the Bossam Burger is pork belly; not a usual favourite of mine, but it is steamed - so that was a huge plus point for me. This was a delight; tender meat with a rich espresso miso glaze slathered on it, sandwiched between tangy kimchi that isn't too spicy so you can still taste all the wonderful flavours coming together.

It's served with a pack of seaweed on the side; so there is some element of DIY to it. You might think this presentation is odd, but it's not too bad an idea, as it keeps the seaweed slightly crunchy as you chow down.

Say hello to Lil's Taproom - technically not just a taproom; as they have a pretty solid food menu. If you're familiar with Hambaobao (who remembers their Beauty World days!?), then it's time to get acquainted with them if you haven't already.

Centrally located in the Farrer Park area, they're tucked away in a corner of the 3rd floor of Trio Building. When it's light out, there's good natural light at the window seats for your photos. After dark, issa real vibe to chill & knock back some beers & good grub - hearty burgers, various nibbles, etc.

This was some solid stuff. The food was fresh & delicious, & also more filling than the typical "small nibbles" type of high tea menu which leave me hungry.

I could get on board with this one. I mean, I wasn't hungry at the end of this tasting! Together with my dining partner, we wiped everything clean 😗

Ka-en's newly launched high tea set has a good mix of savoury & sweet items. Available daily 2-5PM, pre-orders through advanced reservations are required.

The set is good for 2 pax, & comes with 1 pot of tea per pax (you can choose from 4 different types). The teapot is refillable with hot water - recommended to refill just once for best flavours.. Although if you wanted more refills, I'm sure the kind staff would gladly oblige!

TBH I'm puzzled about why Un-Yang-Kor-Dai gets listed as Michelin Bib Gourmand eatery. It wasn't bad (except the pork neck; I was struggling to finish that - & only because I hate wasting food), but certainly wasn't amazing either.

Seems like other people really love this place, though. It was packed on a weekend dinner, even though it was a late (8+PM) one. If you want to check them out, reservations are highly recommended (deposit required).
