Tender and fatty ribs in a sweet-savoury sauce with fried ginger. Glorious with the garlic and chilli padi. Also comes with a bowl of herbal BKT soup.
Dry bkt is unique to Malaysia. The sauce was delicious and I only wished there's more. The ribs were not as tender as those in the soup, but were fattier. As always, dried cuttlefish strips added an addictive touch.
I much prefer Malaysian bkt and finally tried this. Apart from the herbal soup not being peppery, a key difference is the variety of ingredients. The meatballs for example were superb. I wanna eat the meatball soup. The ribs were more tender than I expected, so that's good. But a major flaw was the soup wasn't herbal enough. I didn't even bother refilling it.

This time I tried Ah Ma Bak Kut Teh.
It's Malaysian Bak Kut Teh,served in Claypot with light traditional herbal soup based (that can easily to drink it), served with tender pork ribs and meatball.
💰$6/$8/$11.
Beside that I also ordered their braised pig skin ($2/per serving), its very tender.
