the mhk pieces had a great chewy texture and impressively remained so despite being soaked in the broth for a long time, which automatically puts this bowl at the top of my list of fav mhk šŸ™ŒšŸ» everything was seasoned perfectly, from the soup to the minced meat, and the crispy ikan bilis and fried shallots provided additional crunch and fragrance šŸ˜™ have been returning on a weekly basis and itā€™s consistently this good. recommend giving it a shot if youā€™re nearby!

You mian was on the softer side but somehow still diffirent from the norm, can't rlly tell why.

It is slurpy as mentioned, and despite the soy and chili is actually a comforting bowl, because while the sambal has good depth on its own it doesn't come through when you mix it. Not that it's a knock on them, just to suit the older folks in the area I guess.

Their homemade fried shallots are ridiculously crispy and fragrant, unfortunately again it loses its character when you mix everything(it becomes soggy as well)

Overall it's a comforting bowl which I enjoyed as well

Doesn't come with veggie usually

It's soft and the soup was light yet there's enough depth to be comforting. Plus it's eggy

The MHK is on the softer side, very weird shapes but that led to the middle having more chew

The MHK itself really has some character even tho overall it's a comforting bowl. Not bad at all

I loooove ah yi! I usually get their meehoonkueh but I wanted to try their other menu options. The youmian is slurpy and has a bite to it, tossed in a black sauce. Itā€™s quite similar to prince noodles, except that the sauce ends up a wee bit starchier when mixed with the noodles - princeā€™s sauce is more thin. Comes with minced meat and spinach, plus crunchy fragrant shallots and ikan bilis. Very satisfied! I also like that itā€™s filling but doesnā€™t make me SUPER full compared to when eating the mhk.

Wow! I was thoroughly impressed with this bowl of mee hoon kueh, it was so delicious! The mhk pieces were chewy and bouncy, and not doughy at all; the soup was flavourful but light; minced meat was well-seasoned; and the crisp ikan bilis + fried shallots provided a good crunch & fragrance. Will definitely return for this - I think itā€™s one of the best mhk Iā€™ve had :)

It was sad to see the old hawker centre beside Woodlands Checkpoint has closed, but no worry as you still able to try the same foods here at Marsiling Mall. Most of stalls from the previous hawker centre will be moved to here, 5 minutes walk from Marsiling MRT Station.

My first try here was the tomyam noodle from Ah Yi Handmade Noodle stall. ($3.50)
