Charcoal waffle was done well, light and fluffy with the distinctive charred smokey taste. Got the wrong choice of ice cream to go with this, probably a creamier or chocolatey based flavour would be better, but still good. Overall the options are pretty safe, with nice variations, and the quality is pretty good too

Last December, Apiary collaborated with Bailey’s to offer ice cream flavours infused with Bailey’s Original Irish cream.

Charcoal Waffle ($6.50). Although I’ve been to Apiary on multiple occasions, this is my first time having their waffles. Surrounding the waffles, is homemade chocolate sauce and maple syrup.

Personally, I prefer my waffles to be more crispy than what’s served here. It was lacking in Apiary’s version. That aside, the waffles were soft and fluffy.

Bailey’s and Brownies (Premium Scoop). A great pairing of flavours theoretically. Bailey’s original Irish cream ice cream with homemade brownies. Love how they are so generous with the little soft, moist brownie bits that was prominently in every scoop.

However, the Irish cream taste was very faint. It’d be great if they were more generous with the amount of Bailey’s in the ice cream.

Bailey’s Cherry Cupcake (Premium Scoop). Bailey’s Red Velvet Cupcake with morello cherries and chocolate cupcakes. The fruity sweetness from the morello cherries were more prominent than the Bailey’s cream unfortunately.

Bailey’s Iced Chocolate ($7). At least I could taste the Bailey’s shot in this iced chocolate. Would’ve done it with coffee if we went earlier in the day.

So with every scoop of ice cream purchased, they are supposed to give you a Bailey’s drizzle cream. Unfortunately, it wasn’t served to me.

Loved the creamy ice cream paired with the fluffy waffles! Chill place to grab desserts around the Maxwell area

See if you can find the bird’s nest (is it real?) lurking at a hidden corner

All the flavours were decent but nothing to shout about. The Baileys icecream wasn’t strong enough for me, it tasted more like cookies and cream. I prefer Dopa Dopa, especially for their pistachio!

fluffy and airy waffles went well with the ice cream, which were perfectly smooth and creamy! tried blue pea vanilla and apiary! i found the former meh despite the good reviews. it just tasted like........ sweet milk? personally am not into v milky flavours but my friends rly enjoyed it! as for the apiary flavour, i can see why it’s their signature!! it’s honey-based w chunks of macadamia nuts which i rly enjoyed. creamy yet not overly rich :-)

would love to try their other flavours like pistachio which many recommend next time!!

The gelato here was smooth, sticky and creamy, I thought it was really good. One of our scoops was slightly melted when they scooped it for us though, I think they just scraped and gave us the top part of the tub.

Bailey’s Brownie was great, I loved the cream base infused with Baileys, and the brownies were yummy. If you like cookies & cream types of ice cream, this would probably be your jam. There’re other limited edition Baileys flavours as part of the collaboration with Baileys, so you might want to head down to try them out before they’re gone.

The Apiary was probably my favorite flavour out of the two. No wonder it is their signature flavour and the best-seller! The wildflower honey ice cream base was divine, went really well with the French nougats. I would recommend trying this out when you’re here.

Initially, they served us one wrong ice cream flavour. When we informed them of this error, they threw away our entire cup of 2 scoops of perfect yummy ice cream 🥺🥺🥺 and gave us another 2 scoops. Didn’t really understand this as the scoop of Apiary was fine and was what we ordered. I guess they didn’t want to let us end up with 4 scoops but seeing them dump 2 complete scoops of ice cream was a little bit heartbreaking.
