Dim sum buffet at an affordable price. Variety and the food was ok, i would say worth the price you paid.

High Tea Dim Sum Buffet at 16.80++.
Food from the kitchen is constantly served while you are eating. The service is fast and good. Most dishes are worth a second try. Like steamed fish with sauce and pandan leaf glutinous rice.

4.5 munchies: Pan-fried to crisp perfection on the outside, the inside was filled with piping hot banana and red bean paste. The crumbing on the crust also made the pastry extra crispy and fragrant. What a sweet ending to the Dim Sum Tapas Buffet!

This award-winning dish was unanimously our favourite from the tasting hosted by Bao Today.

I'm still flabbergasted by how value-for-money this tapas dim sum buffet is!

At @baotodaysg's Rendezvous Hotel outlet, it is offering a tapas dim sum buffet for high tea and dinner that is bang for one's buck.

With over 30 items prepared fresh daily made available by its chefs from Hong Kong, it's hard to resist such a good deal.

My favourites include most of the steamed treats such as Phoenix Tail Siew Mai, Crystal Prawn Dumplings, Steamed Scallop Dumplings and Prawn Rice Rolls. I also enjoyed the Abalone and Jellyfish slices as well as the award-winning Banana and Bean Paste Pan Fried Crepes.

The buffet is "tapas-styled" meaning that the waitstaff will walk around carrying trays of dim sum to the tables and ask if you would like to try or have anything. Alternatively, you could just request if you wanted a specific dish.

High tea is from 3-5pm ($16.80++ on weekdays, $19.80++ for weekends, eve of PH & PH for adults) while dinner has two sessions, 6-8pm and 8-10pm ($19.80++ on weekdays, $22.80++ for weekends, eve of PH & PH for adults). Though sometimes they allow walk-ins, reservations are highly recommended.

I'll definitely be heading back to satisfy my dim sum cravings! Thank you @baotodaysg and @burpple for hosting this amazing buffet.

3 munchies: For just under $25, Bao Today serves up a wide variety of decent, value-for-money dim sum dishes under its Tapas Buffet offering. With more than 30 items that are freshly-made daily by Hong Kong chefs, I liked the concept of how diners are not bounded to ordering their favourite dishes by the number of bamboo steamers or plates, but by how ever many individual pieces you like.

My picks were the phoenix tail siew mai, pan-fried champagne pork, black sesame bao, and the award-winning pan-fried banana & red bean paste pastry. Misses were the steamed cod with Nonya sauce and paper-wrapped chicken wing. Also, we were all hoping for some good old Chinese tea (not iced lemon or peach tea) to complete the yumcha experience, which is ironically not served for the buffet option.

This was a hosted meal by Bao Today; many thanks to Hui Ling for the hospitality and Burpple for the invite!
