Not only focus on their heritage breeds of beef from farm in America, Australia and United Kingdom, Astor Grill also served very good alternative non steak starter and mains(grilled Spanish octopus ,traditional beef tartare and main course non steak like grilled Boston lobster )
To created a depth connection, from using quality cuts, prepared on custom build parrilla grill with the use charcoal and Vulcan stones to delivery distinctive flavour and texture.
For appetiser my fav will be the grilled Spanish octopus,it’s tender yet chewy with light crispy exterior, served with chorizo chickpea puree
For cuts, my fav will be hanger. value for money, it’s tender n juicy, with charred crust.

Journey through the House of Astor for an iconic celebration overflowing with modern indulgences and signature rituals this yuletide season with an epicurean journey of dining experiences. We were treated first with The St. Regis Singapore’s iconic Bloody Mary made with a local twist of using chilli padi before diving straight into the seafood on ice.
The entrée froides were a trio of dishes starting with the smoked salmon that has been infused with the hotel’s tea blend followed by a charcuterie selection platter and a foie gras terrine paired with fig jam. A prawn egg royale was served next topped with avruga pearls before a scallop’s dish with pink grapefruit for a touch of tangy bittersweet flavour with madeira reduction.
The main highlight of the evening was presented on the carving station with an oven roasted turkey with glazed chestnuts before the mains of steamed cod fish, that has such a tender bite, and oven roasted rack of lamb that has been executed perfectly with the minimal gaminess and served with eggplant “caviar” and chimichurri rosso. Rounding off the evening was the dessert showcase that feature sweet treats like mont blanc and blackforest cake.

wasn’t a fan of the sweets. they were all REALLY sweet. my favourite was the last tier🍫
raisin & plain scones were fragrant & buttery! clotted cream was a little too dry, crumbly and could be lighter. orange marmalade had a weird taste. strawberry jam was the best!!
we all preferred the savouries to the sweets! they were all really tasty and executed well!
3.5⭐ Indulged in Sunday Brunch at St Regis today. All dishes are served once and the only option to choose is the main course. WB chose beef cheek while I opt for toothfish. There's hit and miss from the Sunday brunch. There's so many dishes served that we are extremely full at the end of the brunch. Well, the memorable one are the seafood platter, foie gras terrine, bayonne ham & rock melon, poached egg benedict, seared scallop, pan seared foie gras, boston lobster thermidor, lobster bisque and red wine sorbet. Utilised Amex Love Dining to enjoy 50% saving for 2 pax diners.

3.5⭐ Utilised the $75 dining credit for high tea at Brasserie Les Saveurs. Currently it's Chocolate theme hence most of the sweets have chocolate in it. The savoury items are good but there are hit and miss for the sweet items. The chawanmushi is unlike the typical japanese chawanmushi which is not to our liking. We also don't like the chocolate mousse as there's too much whipped cream. As for the beverage, we had a choice of one cup of tea or coffee and we chose St Regis Singapore Blend and Imperial Oolong tea.
