Finally got around to trying Buck Tile St. Cafe after reading the reviews highlighting and praising their Blue Velvet Waffles. This hideout is nestled in the nucleus of landed properties of Faber Drive - so be prepared to do a fair bit of walking if you're intending on travelling here by train and bus.

Anyway, let's break this down - it's your usual tried-and-true formula of waffles and a scoop of ice-cream, sprinkled with cyan sugar crystals (I can't tell if it's granulated or demerara or something else), some confectioners sugar dusted across the diameter, and a side of cyan white cocoa sauce for you to drizzle over the waffles.

The waffles are soft to the touch and embody a distinctly chewy texture, which is hard to not notice when you're digging in it. When it arrived at my table, I was immediately greeted with a robust, bready aroma. I wasted no time in diving into it.

I have to admit though that I was not keen on the waffles that were sourdough chewy. I guess I prefer mine less chewy and more crispy. The blue white chocolate sauce too – it felt like an aesthetic addition to the dessert more than anything – the milky-cum-chocolatey flavour was subtle at best. Yet, I would not say it was awful. It just fell short of my expectations.

It's worth checking out if you have the afternoon to yourself, if not with a few friends. Besides, they do have plenty of fares for you to choose from. 😉 (6/10)

Tandoori chicken, sliced yellow cheese, blue cheese sauce. Accompanied by mini hash browns.

Therefore, it is a refreshing experience after having this Blue Velvet Waffle with Ice Cream (S$11.90). You get to choose your ice cream flavour from their menu, and they will serve this waffle and a scoop of ice cream on top of it, plus the blue velvet that can be mistaken as clothes detergent. This dish is interesting to capture on camera, but we all know the novelty will go once everyone starts to create sauces of various colours (think Rainbow Velvet).

Be warned, that this café is quite deep inside a private estate, so it is best to visit if you have a means of transport there.

with plenty of seats available, chill your afternoons away with their free wifi and free parking outside

[PROMO] spend $30 in a single receipt and pay via DBS credit/debit card to get a free blue velvet waffle!! available both on weekdays and weekends

It is located in the residential area , very quiet , very relaxed. Staff also very thoughtful , it is worth a visit. The Blue Velvet Cake ($6.90 per slice)

Saw their photogenic waffles online and decided to drop by yesterday as it was near my place. The blue velvet waffle (S$ 11.90) comes with a scoop of ice-cream and blue-ish white cocoa sauce. Waffle was crispy-edged but soft on the insides. Could definitely stay there for the whole afternoon as it is a cozy place.

The earl grey ice cream didn't fair as well. But the crispy waffle was on point! $11.90 for a waffle and ice cream with Bloo velvet sauce and $2.90 for an additional scoop of ice cream!! Totally loved the cheerful and cute crew at @shopbuckleup that made this waffle! 👍 🙌 model : @rogerni

Ventured to the far west to try out the blue velvet cake and waffles. Loved both and their pies were equally yummy.

First up was my hot chocolate (S$7). It was one of their recommended beverage, but we felt it was a tad too watery for our liking, we would have prefer a thicker and richer consistency.

Not much of a haul for us though.
Decided to cafe hop a little to feed our growling stomachs. And so we came to this secluded cafe located at the western part of Singapore.
Located among the bungalows, we were surprised it was quite packed at tea-break timing.
As we stepped into the red door, a spacious and warm dining area greeted us.

Light lavender taste, but not much earl grey taste. Also, the cake was quite dry and "crumbly". Could have been better :(

Thank you to all foodie friends whom I got to know this year and putting up with my annoyance! May you have a great time with your family and friends!
Had a velvety velvety Blue Velvet Waffle ($11.90) this evening with my all time favourite speculoos ice cream! Blue is such a romantic christmasy colour 😍

The only food that i find taste better than the rest of the food. Crispy at outside and juicy at inside

Everything in the cafe is awesome for my first visit! Prices of food are reasonable and environment is good. Thou it's inaccessible but I will still definitely go for the second time 💛

Oreo Tiramisu (top) ($5.90) & Horlicks Tiramisu ($5.90). The flower pots were too cute to resist. The tiramisu was also pretty good! The type of food there is very innovative, especially the desserts. Even the menu is cool. Would come back here again no doubt. Very Instagram worthy as well 👍🏼

Pie chicken and mushroom.wins over the cake and waffle! Price of the Maple Syrup Waffle are on the standard level against its quality. Simply waffle with not much buttery

Was craving for cake. And recommded by their staff to try earl grey. Well, Earl grey smell is nice and i do love it. But experienced from its cake, the smell was not strong enough and texture of the cake was not smooth. Btw, good that it is not buttery 😊

A tall and dense chocolate and cookie butter cake. Two great things in one cake. Love it!
However, the Coconut Lavender Lemonade ($7.20) isn't doing it for me. Think I would prefer it to be just coconut lemonade. Maybe it's the chocolate cake making my tastebuds wonky 😁

Meh oreo tiramisu in a pot but great iced chocolate hazelnut latte

Cafe. Pretty layers resembling that of the classic ice cream flavours. I will be back to try the Ulu Ulu Pandan Caramel cake which looks and sounds awesome!
