Chopsuey is a good place to bring your overseas friends to because they have done a v good job in fusion across Asian cuisines. Favourite was the 9pc dim sum basket $26++ and another job well done for the mix of spices in food and sauces. Can give the prawn toasties a miss ($19++ for 4 and +4.50 for extra piece). The fish tofu lasagna $32++ was interesting. And of course don’t forget to order their signature sticky date pudding for dessert since it’s under PS cafe. Good dining experience and ambience. I'm not sure if they regularly change their menu but it was v different from when I first came 2 years back. Nonetheless highly recommend 👍
This is my second visit to Chopsuey. Their food standard has always been tip top! Their dimsum Platter comes in 6 or 9 pieces. I love their spicy mushrooms dumplings.
Steamed soft fluffy chinese buns, stuffed with shredded cucumber and carrots, along with savoury salty yet tender moist, shredded duck confit and pulled roasted duck meat. Must order!
No salmon or ham, just plain egg bens with spinanch and hollandaise sauce, yet still taste so good. The rosti is wok crisped, hence it is abit more 'chao-tah' than the usual rosti you will get outside.

It's actually just steamed snapper with tofu. coupled with spicy black bean sauce. But they layer the snapper and tofu nicely in such a way that it would be like a 'lasagna'. Quite a comforting dish that goes well with rice.

Love the food and atmosphere. Must try the long live noodles and numbing pork ribs! Please skip the rusty nails orange beef dish, can't taste the beef at all.
On top of all the problems that I'm already dealing with in life, I now have to face the fact that I didn't know about sangria until today.
Sangria sounds like a flimsy old lady's drink, but I don't care. It's wonderful. It's perfect for dinner with colleagues. It's perfect for not getting drunk but still have enough to loosen you up a little bit. It's pretty. It's nice being given flowers even though it's dried and in a drink and I paid for it.
I'M NOT DRUNK, OK!?
Pronounced as 'Jaahp-Seui', the alfresco provides much needed fresh air and great food, until we have ants raining down when the raincover was rolled out.

Lovely robust soup, hearty and comforting. I like the crunch of the spring onions, and despite the thin dumpling skin, the filling of minced pork and prawn is fresh and sweet. Surprisingly good.
Replacing chicken drumlets with these easy-to-eat quail drumlets, this Anglo-Chinese dish has a crisp golden batter, and a sweet sour sauce with a nice bite.
$12. Best eaten with steaming bowl of rice. Nice gooey yolk contrast with crunchy whites
A healthy mix of white, red, and brown rice, stir-fried with egg till the dish has that wonderful wok-hei. The best thing; the savoury salty oolong tea smoked halibut fish chunks, like buried treasure within.
Also known as "Rusty Nails". Self-explanatory, the wok-crisped strips of grain-fed beef short rib is crunchy and deep brown, with a bold savoury flavour that is nicely contrasted by the zesty sweet orange glaze. Unique!
Like an alcoholic version of milk tea. A smooth, rich blend of Patron XO Cafe liqueur (tequila & coffee) oolong infused vodka, and Baileys Irish Cream liqueur.
If you have the dough, this wok crisped dish is the way to go. Tender chunks of chicken, the sour sharp hit of ginger, followed by the sweet honey and savoury meat. Yum.
Simple but well executed, the medley of 10 different fresh vegetables is satisfiying. If you're willing to splurge, this classic Anglo-Chinese dish is worth ordering here.
Really surprised that the wok hei here is actually pretty good! Nice nutritious mix of rice grains (white, brown, red), eggy flavour, and sweet chunks of deshelled crab.
Hand made prawn paste on artisanal white meal bread, with a spicy chili sauce!
Pockets (SGD $17) @ Chopsuey Cafe.
Shredded duck confit and pulled roasted duck, paired with crunchy veggies and a soft bao / bun. Pow!
Looks familiar? Well that is because the owner of this cafe is also the owner of P.S cafe
