BBQ meat can be either be cooked in the kitchen (by staff) or at your table (self service).

Ordered the marinated beef, pork belly, fried chicken, kimchi pancakes, soju and beer.
Meat was tasty and fresh. Like the pork belly the most. Fatty and nice when BBQ.

Fried chicken was ok, had better ones before.

Kimchi pancake is recommended! Crispy!

Ever since my trip to Korea, I fell in love with Korean spicy cold noodles (bibim nangmyeon). And now Iโ€™ve found a decent one in SG at ๐‘ช๐’‰๐’-๐’˜๐’๐’ ๐‘ฎ๐’‚๐’“๐’…๐’†๐’ ๐‘ฒ๐’๐’“๐’†๐’‚๐’ ๐‘น๐’†๐’”๐’•๐’‚๐’–๐’“๐’‚๐’๐’•!

The ๐‘ฒ๐’๐’“๐’†๐’‚๐’ ๐‘บ๐’‘๐’Š๐’„๐’š ๐‘ช๐’๐’๐’… ๐‘ต๐’๐’๐’…๐’๐’†๐’” (๐‘ฉ๐’Š๐’ƒ๐’Š๐’Ž ๐‘ต๐’‚๐’†๐’๐’ˆ๐’Ž๐’š๐’†๐’๐’), $18, is a bowl of buckwheat noodles served in a chilled icy broth, with sweet and spicy gochujang sauce, slivers of Korean pear, radish pickles, slices of beef brisket and a half-boiled egg with a soft and fudgy centre. Though the beef is a bit tough and dry, the whole dish is still deliciously refreshing, especially in Singaporeโ€™s hot weather.

Other than the cold noodles, they also serve BBQ and other Korean dishes. I tried the ๐‘บ๐’๐’š๐’ƒ๐’†๐’‚๐’ ๐‘ท๐’‚๐’”๐’•๐’† ๐‘บ๐’†๐’‚๐’‡๐’๐’๐’… ๐‘บ๐’•๐’†๐’˜ (๐‘บ๐’†๐’‚๐’‡๐’๐’๐’… ๐‘ซ๐’๐’†๐’๐’‹๐’‚๐’๐’ˆ ๐‘ฑ๐’‹๐’Š๐’ˆ๐’‚๐’†), $13.80, and the ๐‘ฒ๐’Š๐’Ž๐’„๐’‰๐’Š ๐‘บ๐’•๐’†๐’˜ ๐’˜๐’Š๐’•๐’‰ ๐‘ท๐’๐’“๐’Œ (๐‘ฒ๐’Š๐’Ž๐’„๐’‰๐’Š ๐‘ฑ๐’Š๐’ˆ๐’ˆ๐’‚๐’†), $11.80, which are served in a claypot that keeps the stew piping hot till the last drop. Would have liked a bit more generous pieces of pork in the kimchi jiggae though.

A bonus to eating at Chowon Garden is the feast of banchan they serveโ€”5 small plates of side dishes with every meal, just like in Korea! The side dishes rotate on a daily basis, so you may try different dishes on different days. Iโ€™ve tried the Seasoned Seaweed, Kimchi, Seasoned Beansprouts, Stir-Fried Fishcake, Vegetable Noodle Salad, Spicy Braised Tofu... But my fave has got to be the Soy Braised Potatoes, which is soft, sweet and caramelised.

Their simple setting with red wood furniture was typical of those weโ€™d visited before. Conversations amongst Korean patrons added to the authentic feel.
Their menu offered a wide range of Korean cuisines, from BBQ meat, pancakes, noodles, fried chicken to stews and soups. Depending of whether you order beef or pork, theyโ€™d set up the charcoal or hot pan grill for the best grill effects. We had both which we enjoyed especially with our soju.
Our Jajangmyeon was also tasty, smooth and flavourful. Kimchi cheese pancake was a nice variation from the usual. We warmed it over the grill and felt it tasted even better.
Dining at ChoWon Garden was enjoyable from their food as well as comfortable setting that wasnโ€™t cramped like some othersโ€™.

You can choose between Self-Cooked/Bbq or let the Kitchen do it if you're feeling lazy. Of course, we chose the later option as we do not want to have the smokey smell on us or if you are famous in creating fire or burn the meat.๐Ÿ˜‚
Tasty chewy succulent meat.๐Ÿ˜‹
