Gambas al Ajillo

Set in the lobby of The Great Madras hotel, this halal cafe serves Spanish tapas complete with a relaxed vibe that's perfect for a girls' night out. We recommend the Halloumi Con Cranberry ($11), which sees an delicate balance between savoury halloumi and sweet cranberry sauce. The Gambas Al Ajillo ($12) is another winner here, featuring fresh, meaty pan-fried prawns marinated in an assortment of spices. Leave on a high with the crisp and fluffy Banana Bread Waffle ($10)!

Evidently an establishment that takes customer feedback seriously since this dish tasted amazing after the previous feedback. Fresh meaty prawns with an amalgamation of lip smacking spices, the highlight was in fact in the prawn head which was all kinds of umami and none of the bitterness. Top 3 gambas al ajillo I've had for sure

Pan-fried prawns with garlic "sauce" that was more like a hae bee crumb. Was expecting this to pack a punch of flavours but unfortunately lacked seasoning and fragrance (both crustacean and garlic). The prawns didn't seem very fresh either and were a little dry.
