fried fish was pretty good. aglio olio had lots of garlic in it. not too spicy either

previous tried their tomato pasta and it was so bland and tasteless. skip that.

the mayo is q weird, there still to be a plasticky layer on top, prob formed due to being squeezed into the container too early

This used to be really good when the chain was newly opened but I find the quality not as good now. The fish is bland without the sauce. Fries are cold and limp despite having many patrons that day. Not sure why the fries could not newly made? The only thing I enjoyed was the chilli crab sauce, which Iā€™m glad to pay a premium over the original fish & chips for.

This coffeeshop western stall was hella EXPENSIVE so I was expecting something really good to match that price.

Well, the batter for the fish is notably crisp (as crunchy as beer batter!) while the fish within was soft and silky and reasonably fresh. The fries were very crispy and quite well seasoned.

What I can't get over are the tiny portions! I couldn't believe that for $13.90 you only got two small portions of fish and sooooo little sauce. The salted egg wasn't even enough to cover half the fish šŸ˜”

I also didn't really like the salted egg because it was overly creamy and sweet. The cheesy curry tasted like frothed up nacho cheese sauce so it was quite tasteless also.

Price: $8.90
Chicken big piece but some parts dry. Pasta is okay.

I have such a love-hate relationship with Fish & Chicks. I think they're too expensive, but their food often impresses me. Even a random dish like this I was won over. Grilled fish is rarely poor anywhere, but their sambal was top-notch. Even the rice was really yummy.

It's been awhile since I last had Fish & Chips, partially cause the best ones are from Brighton (whoop šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§) & the ones I've had here usually come soggy, or just lack that oomph.

But I'm glad that we have something in our tiny island that is of decent quality & taste! The Classic Fish & Chips from Fish & Chicks were extremely crispy & flaky, while ensuring the meat is still soft & pipping hot on the inside.

The side of fries were abit of a disappointment as it was salty & cold, but it could be due to the condensation of the steam as it was a take-away.
