💰$2.5/ 5 Pcs.
📍Traditional Haig Road Putu Piring.
970 Geylang Road, #01-02.

Ingredients were quite little for a $6 dish. Comes with shredded chicken, shrimps, shredded tau pok. Soup taste like a combination of mee siam with curry.

The truly old school Mee Rebus from Afandi Hawa. What made it special would be the dried shrimps inside the noodle, together with the gravy. $3

I thought for a stall to sell the white version meant they're extremely confident about their skills. I thought wrong. Boring plate.

If you love springy curly noodles, you must try this kolo mee from Lin Yu Mei. The auntie cooks the noodles via a 3-step process - hot, cold, hot - before tossing them in a pool of condiments that she concocts so effortlessly. The star of the show here is definitely the noodles - they're QQ without the alkaline aftertaste and very, very fragrant. Unlike your regular wanton mee, these come with a heaping of minced pork and subpar char siew, but I'm willing to give the latter a miss just for these superb noodles.

The egg noodles has a nice bite to it. Char siew was a bit on the dry side but they were generous with the portion.Somehow the sauce was lacking depth and there was no hint of pork lard which could have lend a better depth of flavour to the sauce. The dumplings in the soup was average though the soup has a nice peppery hint.
The above pictured was $3 a plate
