The tonkotsu broth is on the thinner side but it's still pretty good. Spicy miso is really good tho, barely tastes like miso just a savoury sauce. Char siu has tender fats but the meat was slightly dry. Also it's only 1 piece. Black fungus is unseasoned, unacceptable. It tastes watery

For the add ons, lava egg was overcooked and not marinated enough. Menma was good and generous. Toroniku was super tender and flavourful but it's abit wasted here cos there's no crisp at all.

Overall the ramen is decent, not worth a visit when there's no many good ramen palces nearby

No more Miyazaki beef fried rice, that's damn sad. But doesn't rlly matter cos it wouldn't have been stunning anyway

Their fried rice is damn light. Seasoning wise as well. Quite average, no idea why it's hyped

The gyoza filling was okay, sauce had too much sesame oil, and the skin of the gyoza takes too long to chew.

Quite average, I wouldn't recommend their gyozas

Premium Black Tonkotsu Ramen ($14.80)
Pork bone broth ramen with Roasted Black Garlic oil and toroniku cha shu (tender roast pork cheek). As a fan of black garlic oil ramen, this rich and flavourful broth didn't disappoint! First piece of cha shu I had was pretty soft and tender, but my second piece was kinda tough, which left me pretty confused. Guess there's some inconsistencies in the bowl, but overall still a satisfying bowl of ramen.

Considering the food we got and since it's located at Tanjong Pagar, I'd say it's not too pricey, and pretty much a quick way to satisfy some Jap cravings, especially if you are near the area!

Overall Rating: 8/10

Hokkaido Snow Crab Fried Rice on Tonkotsu Gravy ($13.80)
This reminded me of the Tenshinhan I had at @ohsho_sg, which is a Chinese-influenced Jap dish, although Tenshinhan comes with a crabmeat omelette on top, whereas this was just fried rice with crab meat and egg. Similarity was that both tasted closer to something you'd get at Chinese TzeChar stalls, with gravy you'd get from Mui Fan (?) rather than Jap dishes. It's not a bad thing - I actually enjoyed this dish, because the fried rice came with wokhei as well 🤭.
