My go to place when I need a snack or whenever I need fillers after a unfulfiling lunch.
Egg Tarts here are good.
.
Has a crumbly, buttery, pastry tart crust, that shatters gently when bit. The filling of wobbly soft egg custard is silky smooth, with a delicate eggy milky sweet flavour.
.
All the goodness of the original tart, with a filling of sticky, fruity sweet blueberry sauce.
.
Pretty decent.

Within, tender chunks of caramelised apples burst with a juicy soft texture and bold fruity sweet flavour.

Within the crisp, light, flaky buttery pastry crust are chunks of savoury peppery chicken, chunky potato, and tender shiitake mushrooms with an earthy savoury flavour.
.
The filling is nicely balanced, not too much potato, not too much cream. Love the sharp spicy kick of the black pepper.
.
Surprised that I rather enjoyed this, it was better than most regular heartland versions.

My kind of afternoon teaππ»ββοΈ
.
The original egg tarts ($2) at Kopi & Tarts are soft and light, while their pastries such as curry puff and tuna puff ($2.60 for normal, $1 for mini) are flaky and crispy on the outside, and savoury and flavourful on the inside:) Never fails to perk me up on a chillax afternoon!
