The Omakase at this place is so fantastic. The food is creative and tasty. Wish it had been on Burpple.

Priced at $78.80++, this wasn't cheap but I would recommend. The sashimi was of good quality (not the best, but still worth paying for). Service was fantastic, the ambience was great too, had walls that partitioned tables for privacy. The dessert after the main course, which was mochi and ice cream, was mind-blowing. I would visit this place again for important events!
So many were raving about Ami Ami’s onsen egg tempura tendon awhile back, and as usual slow to the game I thought I’d give it a go recently at their parent restaurant Kuriya. And...nyeeeeh it’s aight. The tendon on its own was pretty good, tempura crisp, light, and not greasy, though nothing calling for a major woowoop. While I thought it was interesting having the onsen egg wrapped in (what I believe was) a phyllo sheet instead of the regular tempura batter, I can’t say I cared as much for its texture 🤔
My all time favourite dish here! It’s always so umami filled I cleaned the bowl dry every single time 😋
The fruits and mochi are almost a ‘must order’ every time I dine here. Can’t seem to get enough of mochi, anyone knows of anywhere I can get good takeaway mochi?
Grilled Sesame Tofu topped with Salmon Roe that came as part of the course menu. Personally prefer Osaka Kitchen’s teppanyaki style of the tofu, but nevertheless, it’s still appetising. 👍🏼
decided to try a new main today and was kinda disappointed. Nothing impressive about this, simply just bara chirashi don though the yukke sauce did gave this simple dish a rather interesting twist. But other than that, meh.
The appetiser was splendid, did had a golly good time slurping the grilled salmon skin & diaphragm (if I remember correctly) up 😋
Kani Uni Ikura - quite literally the ingredients in this dish and a mighty good combination at that 😍 the king crab was extremely sweet, coupled with the burst of the roe and sweet sea urchin, they are certainly strong flavoured items that came together in perfect harmony👏🏼
This dish was an absolute delight to have. I took the spicy cod Roe aside for the whole serving was too spicy to my liking. That aside, the Wagyu was so tender it melted in my mouth ☺️ the gravy that’s slathered all over the rice was so umami filled I cleaned the bowl dry 😋
I really enjoyed the fruit platter here. Imported fresh from Japan, the fruits were juicy, refreshing, and packs a slight crunch! From left, there's the crossbreed of watermelon and papaya, the musk melon, white strawberry, and watermelon.
The crossbreed watermelon and papaya tasted like honeydew. Nothing impressive, but still juicy and ice cold nonetheless. The musk melon were so sweet, you'll probably never want to have normal honeydew ever again. The white strawberries were fragrant yet not overly sweet. It's crunchiness makes it feel like frozen strawberries and a really nice snack to have after a meal. Watermelon was really juicy, beware of all the juice flowing out!!!
Flavoured with rock salt and herbs. The pork was so crunchy, so chewy, I cannot even describe it properly in words. All I can say is, it ain't no simple affair
Throwback to pretty out of this world sashimi, ingredients so fresh you thought for a moment you were in Japan this very instant. The experience was made even better with the excellent service provided by the extremely helpful staff who were all very knowledgable and could provide great recommendations!
Creepy looking fish, but do not be deceived by its looks. This is a deep sea fish, and if I remember correctly, it's black necked fish. Due to the winter season, this fish has a small layer of fats coated around it. Caught and imported all the way from Japan, the fish was really fresh and an absolute delight on the taste buds.
simply choose the size and the price that you prefer and they offer free cutting services for your takeaway!
can easily finish this on my own 😆
Maguro, tai (?), sake, ika and salmon maki. This restaurant does not focus on sushi so no expectations here.
You have to get lucky with this one. Two others who got this dish had pretty dry and tendon-y pieces. And really? Broccoli?
