Walk by and couldn't resist... Plentiful of thinly shredded vege, cucumber, pineapple and dome others in the spicy sourish tuna flakes soup... The bouncy thicker ver beehoon type of noodles goes very well with the soup... Slurp down every last bits... Hmmm the Penang Char Kway Teow also looks good from here. Shall come back gor it another time

When we try food anywhere for the first time, we always prefer trying smaller portion to make sure there is no food waste. πŸ’šπŸŒ We go for this smaller size although the bigger portion is also on offer at $7.00
You know that we can’t have cockles but we are not disappointed by the aroma and taste of this CKT (the fiery chilli side is addictive) 🌢 🀀 There you have them! Our food picks for this week.πŸ™Œ

Doing what we love most on Saturday-scouring for good & cheap food in Orchard.πŸ˜† This Penang Assam Laksa at Let’s Eat (the food chain run by the same company as Malaysia Boleh!)
Feeling blessed that we got massive amount of greens topping! Maybe the Chef sense that we need it to balance the thick gravy of Assam laksa. Plenty of fish, pineapple and cucumber although they are covered with cabbage in this pic.
Glad to uncover this authentic Penang delicacy. Don’t say we Bo Jio! πŸ€“

Oyster Omelette, also affectionately known as "Orh Luak", is a must-try local dish I'd tell my friends from overseas. πŸ˜‰ This gorgeous-looking plate of Orh Luak from Let's Eat at ION Orchard has all the colours and texture right. Even the egg and starch batter ratio was on point. Sadly, the taste and smell were way off and I had to make it clear that Orh Luak doesn't taste like that. 🀣

The broth was pretty good - tangy, sweetened and enriched by dried fish flakes, laced with aromatic prawn paste, laksa leaves and raw onions.. My mouth is watering just thinking about this. However, don't expect to fill yourself on just one bowl; it's mostly noodles (the thick, translucent kind that's similar to what's used in Penang) and a pretty small bowl too.
