Glorious is the word to describe this wholesome Primal Bagel which is under their Legendary selection. The flame roasted brisket is done fresh onsite - you can't miss the stacks of fire chip wood all around the shop). Totally enjoyable with their generous amount of homemade pickles and gherkins and cheddar to give the right balance of tanginess to enhance the smokey flavours. Selected the cheddar bagel which goes perfectly well with these ingredients. An extra fried egg or tomatoes add-ons were considered but safe to say that would have been an overkill. Glorious way to start the day!

Jamon ham & Swiss cheese sandwiched in Japanese milk bread toasted and dipped in to an onsen egg in teriyaki sauce & sprinkles of furikake. The Japanese word can literally condense all these into an 4-syllabic word. Amazing in every way. Update: Kewpie mayonnaise is the magical ingredient in the toast!

Super shiok! Thats the feeling to have this claypot dish on a wet and unusually cold night... Not my first posting on their amazing claypot rice with succulent (real juicy) chicken chunks and generous sliced Chinese sausage and wax meat. For those who wants to up the umami another 2 notches, go for additional salted sun-dried fish and don't forget to add other than the black sticky soy sauce, 2 teaspoons of pork oil.

Full bodied chive fillings that would certainly keep us coming back for more! A thought crossed our mind that this might be the one we can come back for just for a light lunch!

1 level up from Shio that I had last week. The broth is scalding hot so not advisable for the cat-tongued. The broth has a more robust shoyu flavour but the ebi umami is not lost. Same accompaniments of ajitsuke tamago, cabbage and minced pork.

A must eat whenever I am in HK, regardless whether it is a breakfast or a late dinner, this is the most comforting and satisfying noodle dish. And yes 粗麵 is Mee Pok in HK, and 九記 has the best Mee Pok which stays al dente even cooked and soaked in the super steamy hot beef broth.

For mango lovers! The name of this dessert is so unsuspecting and perhaps lacks the creativity which comes with this creatively plated desert. The double walled glass comes with a petite serving of mango infused glutinous rice, with mango cubes and mango ice cream. What certainly captures your attention is the ball of mango candy floss on top of the glass. When you are ready for indulgence pour the mango syrup onto the candy floss and let it melt into the trio of pure mango bliss in the glass.... ohhhh yesssss!

There's a good reason and how aptly the item named as Over The Top Oink🐷don. It just can't get better than this. From the top, a breaded pork rib schnitzel is like the crown jewel of this pork overload rice bowl. Next a broiler grilled slab of thick cut pork chop greets you, will grilled and with oil dripping down the stack. Next on perfectly grilled glazed bacon, all 4 to 5 slices. Savoury and juicy keeping the texture it ought to be and not overly crispy (those always remind me of begging strips - dog treats). Beneath this is a layer a fried scrambled eggs - oriental style so don't expect it to be runny. Any while you concur each level of this oinksome goodness, there right at the bottom of this is the real deal, sambal fried rice authentic and true to its taste. And if you have not had enough, the fried rice includes cuts of the bacon which by now way was peripheral. Be warned, the sambal is actually quite spicy which is unexpected as this is supposedly a family or rather kid-friendly place. We also ordered the plain garlic fried rice which is very shiok and garlicky. They also use a shorter grain rice for the garlic fried rice which I will try to request for as the base for the oinkdon the next time I am here. Forgot to mention the black pepper sauce is awesome and and come full drizzled on or for dipping at the side. Advisable for sharing unless you are gaming for entering the Guiness book of record for the most oinknivorous eater!

Caramelized black cod with bok choy and Malabar black pepper sauce. One of the most enjoyable item in the menu. Good doesn't need superlatives... simply excellent. P.S. pardon my ignorance, but is this the only dish on the menu in English.

If there's only one thing you can order here, let it be the mac & cheese! You wouldn't regret it. The mac used here is of a longer, thinner, straighter tubular type. The cheese used as expectedly is rich and sticky with a layer of cheddar on top, it will certainly progressed from a side and slowly but surely over take the mains. Served pipping hot (it must be!) in a cast iron pan, the M&C is wet on the inside and stick, chewy, yummy on the outside, and the truffle oil used in abundance, giving it a distinctive characteristic like no others.
