Tsuruhashi Fugetsu is one of the most famous okonomiyaki restaurant in Osaka and it has opened its first Singapore outlet in Eat at Seven at Suntec City. Look out for the signature Fugetsuyaki (Mix) which has pork, squid, prawn and beef or Cheetama-Buta-Tama for the cheese lovers. Please read my review at www.hungryghost.sg.

This was my first time returning to the refurbished Kazu. Every skewer is seasoned lightly, and it's so on point that you'll know that it's because of that grain of salt. Foie gras is my favorite dish on the menu. Melts like butter and absolutely loved the charcoal aftertaste. Please help yourself and finish off with a gush of golden Asahi. Happy days.

Ardent long-time fan of Kazu Sumiyaki! I don't know what i would do if they close this place down😂 Def my fav restaurant in SG for top notch yakitori that isn't insanely overpriced. It's been quite sometime since i've felt so satisfied with my meal 😍😍 Do make your reservations before going.

Will i return/recommend: Yes/Yes

Pros: Everything i tried was so delicious! There is this awesome smoked and charred taste that yet isn't burnt. Place is vibrant & cosy with the dark lighting. Food served at just the perfect temperatures, i believe they let it "rest" prior to serving. Fav dishes: Foie gras, okonomiyaki, chicken wings, buta ringo, yaki awayuki (a dessert that deserves a post of it's own)

Cons: May come off salty to some, but it was perfect for me. Chicken fillet w mentaiko was a bit wonky today, bitter and dry - usually it's really good and i can eat 2-3 pcs. I find their beef & cooked dishes like soup, fried rice etc... not very well done, can do without ordering. Will not order their sashimi's as well, unless it's a seasonal catch.

Price: S$123.60 for everything pictured +2 hot green teas

When it comes to Barachirashi Don that gives you quite a decent quality with a good amount of raw fish that is also value-for-money at the same time, Sushiro is where I would head to. The marinated fish is fresh and chunky, carrying a hint of savoury flavours which sits above a bed of sushi rice drenched in savoury-sweet sauce while the Ikura gives it an umami burst of flavours to enhance the entire bowl — satisfaction guaranteed at $12.80 per bowl. The Premium Barachirashi Don at $24.80 caters to those who want more variety of fish, where the entire bowl gets stacked high with a even bigger mound of marinated raw fish and a prawn sticking out at the top.

One of the perks and burps of following Burpple is tracking down delicious food places, especially a hidden gem like Bincho.

It is hidden, quite literally. While the entrance is actually at the back facing the car park, Bincho is accessible by walking in through Hua Bee Restaurant.

Now that Bincho makes its lunch menu (comprises of wallet-friendly set meals) available during dinner exclusively on Sundays, I have more excuses to indulge in a good meal before going back to work the next day. 😜 Each set comes with an appetizer, salad, karaage, soup, pickled vegetables and dessert.

Bincho prides itself in yakitori (grilled chicken) so there was no excuse not to try its signature Yakitori Don Set. Having read the review from @veronicaphua, we decided to get Beef Tongue Don Set as well. 😙

The appetizer, Salmon with Mayonnaise and Salmon Roe, melted in our mouths and they tasted exquisitely delicious. We loved the Fried Chicken Skin Salad because of the crunchiness without the greasy aftertaste. 😋 Well, the Fried Chicken Drumlets were finger-licking tasty, so savory and thickly coated with sauce that they stole the limelight from the mains. The chicken soup was a simple warm comforting broth and it had rice crackers which we really enjoyed.

Here comes the main highlights... The grilled chicken in the Yakitori Don was aromatic with its slightly charred and crispy skin, moist and firm meat. On another hand, the Beef Tongue was tender and oishii~~ with a balanced natural sweetness and savory taste from its marinate sauce. 😍 We also enjoyed the grilled vegetables that Chef Asai spent much time grilling. It was definitely a great dining experience without leaving a hole in my wallet. This rewards repeat visits to Bincho! 👍

Asked for the Chef's Daily Selection from the Full Blood & Black Angus from Australia & The Chef delivered a Steak from Blackmore Ranch. (💵S$85/220g) 🐮
.
Few Cattle produced in Japan have a Wagyu Bloodline as Pure as David Blackmore's Ranch, always producing Exceptional Beef such as the one on this plate. 🍽
It has a more Pronounced Beef flavour than other Wagyu. Despite the lack of Fats/Marbling, the Beef taste rivals that of a Well Marbled Wagyu. Tender, Juicy & always Medium 😋

Happy to hear that they opened one outlet near my office, so rushed there right away at lunch time. Tremendously enjoyed the Foie Gras Truffle Yakiniku, super yummy! 😍😋😋 Pan seared foie gras drenched in amazing black garlic brown butter, tender-melt-in-your-mouth US black angus short ribs drizzled with truffle soy and onsen egg in the middle. The truffle soy sauce is a bit too mild for me, perhaps not many people like strong tastes (in many things) as i do. But apart from that, it's an excellent mix of flavours and tastes all together. It is $19 for lunch (u.p. $23) and i took the lunch set additional $2 for miso soup, mixed green salad and green tea. Highly recommended! Any recommendations for similar donburi are most welcome.

Located near Jalan besar Stadium and alot more cafes nearby (great for cafehopping around), went to visit on a rainy sunday morning, probably the reason why the place was not very packed. Ambience inside the cafe was great with its cool dim lightings, but i chose outside seatings for natural lighting since the sky was turning brighter despite the rain... Food was great! Items featured in the picture includes: The Huat Breakfast $17/Charcoal pork burger $18/Earlgrey cheesecake $5-6 (can't rmb😅) Verdict: really love the food here. The pork burger was well executed though I'd prefer fries rather than chips as its sides. 10/10 would recommend, I'd make a revisit myself again😊 4.40/5.0

With only two options to choose from the menu, going for the special set was a no brainer (unless you're vegetarian then the other set is for you). It's essentially a tempura don meal, served with chawanmushi and a bowl of miso soup on the side. At $13.90, this was so worth it. A lot of tempura was given, from shrimp, pumpkin, chicken, mushroom, and the best of all, a poached egg. This would explain why the waiting time could be up to half an hour. But I would say this is worth the wait. The drinks are on the expensive side, so asking for water is preferable.

No wonder Sumiya is so popular and crowded all the time during lunchtime. I've been here several times for its delicious and generous yet affordable Bara Chirashi Don Set Lunch ($18.80).

This time I decided to give the Wagyu Don a try. I was full of regrets for not trying this earlier! The big slices of beef were so juicy sweet yet savory at the same time. Considering the price, I'd say the quality and portion of this lunch set is worth every single cent.

Shiok Maki at Koh Grill & Sushi Bar. Salmon + Unagi = perfect combination

We hear the pitan (century egg) sauce is to die for, and the serving is so generous that you have enough to eat with the tofu and still some leftover to enjoy on its own! Photo by Burppler Yeung Kai Ho #Burpple
