Chinese Food
This signature Chao Ta Beehoon's as good as it can get. Utterly flavourful and yummy. #burpple
[Tuck Kee (Ipoh) Sah Hor Fun, lvl 2 of Hong Lim Food Centre] According to my colleague there's always a long queue so it was my lucky day that it wasn't. And I think I get why people queue for this. For $8, you get silky smooth horfun, with quite a decent portion of prawns and sweet crayfish (flesh came off easily and wasn't mushy), both of which were fresh. Gravy is a little on the peppery but bland side, just mix in the chilli and you're good to go!
Dun pray pray...this literally melts in your mouth. It's that heavenly!
Drooling as I think back how delicious this simple plate of horfun is. Flat noodles stir fried with ingredients like prawns, squid, chinese sausage and bean sprouts until they are slightly charred. Break the raw egg and ensure each noodles are cloaked, amplifying the taste of this Zi Char dish. SLURP~
Soon Heng's porridge is truly a great start for people working around Telok Ayer area. To me it's a great comfort food on a rainy day. Tasty and thick, the thickness lasted till the end of the meal. If you like porridge you should try it. With the raw fish of course.
