Even if dim sum is not up your alley, Min Jiang at Goodwood Park Hotel (@goodwoodparkhotelsg) serves a good spread of exquisite Cantonese and Sichuan dishes. 😘

Satisfy your taste buds with the rich and flavourful Stewed Ee-fu Noodles with King Prawn in XO Sauce ($16). Beef lovers will definitely enjoy the tender Wok Fried Beef Cubes with Asparagus in Black Pepper Sauce ($36). Instead of the usual Peking Duck, try Min Jiang's Camphor Tea Smoked Duck Fillet ($32) for the soft and tea-scented aromatic meat. 😋

The newly renovated Min Jiang at Goodwood Park Hotel has reopened! Sophisticated interior, excellent and prompt service, and not forgetting the awesomely delicious food. 😋

Expect nothing less when dining at Min Jiang, they do not mess around with the quality of the dim sum items. Now available on push cart during lunch, even the basics like Har Gau ($6.20) and Siew Mai ($6.20) are easily one of the best dim sum we ever had. 👍🏻 Steamed Chinese Spinach with Chicken and Prawn Dumplings ($6.80) deserves a special mention - we love how all the flavours came together so beautifully. And just when we thought it will just be another Deep-fried Beancurd Skin Roll with Prawns ($6.80), we were so wrong. Min Jiang's rendition is probably the most crispy, least oily yet most juicy with succulent plump prawns. 🤤

Do make reservations to avoid disappointment! There are limited seatings due to safe distancing measures. Most importantly, even we were reluctant to leave after our meal. Just continue sipping tea and enjoy the relaxing ambience. 🤭 Chillax chillax~~

If you habitually enjoy dim sum on weekends like me, check out Sum Dim Sum where you can pre-order for delivery of dim sum! Alternatively, simply dabao (order takeaway) over the counter. 😉

Oh that flavourful broth, springy noodles and tender beef brisket which just falls apart easily. What's not to love?! 😋

With a crispy crust on the outside, the yuzu-shaped baked buns are fluffy inside and full of caramelized char siew (barbequed pork). The prominent sweet-citrusy notes of yuzu hit all the right spots. 😚

Three Eggs Chinese Spinach ($14) is my all-time favourite. 😉 Accompanied with egg white, salted egg and century egg, the Chinese spinach nestled in the creamy and flavourful homemade superior broth. It was so good that we even "yum seng" (bottoms up) the remaining broth.

Resembling a gold bar, we fought for every piece of this unassuming Pumpkin Homemade Bean Curd ($12) with our chopsticks and spoons. 😀 The bean curd is so silky soft and the pumpkin sauce is so delectable. We wiped the plate clean and regretted for not ordering a bigger portion. 😅

Champagne Pork Ribs ($16) is a must-try at Diamond Kitchen (@diamondkitchensg). Those soft and tender deboned pork ribs are covered in sticky and caramelized coat. The flavours are so intense and memorable. We are still raving about this even after lunch was over.

Are you the one in your family who always have to decide where and what to eat? You won't want to go wrong and disappoint your family and friends especially during CNY. Sharing with you, Diamond Kitchen (@diamondkitchensg) is one of my go-to restaurants for this year's CNY celebration. 🤗

Golden Cereal Chicken ($16) is popular among all ages because who doesn't love hassle-free boneless fried chicken covered in sweet and savoury crispy cereals? And the pretty golden brown chicken reminds us of the prosperity greeting "遍地黄金" (streets paved with gold). 😆

If you are having many gatherings for CNY lunches/dinners, consider Diamond Kitchen (@diamondkitchensg).

The "Sauna Prawns" ($42) is one of their signatures. Fresh and big prawns are steamed to perfection on heated stones in a bamboo steamer with herbal stock poured over. 😍 Open the lid to find these prawns radiating in a bright orange glow. I enjoy every firm and succulent bite albeit the herbal taste is somewhat lacking. But the appealing visuals and novelty always win the hearts of the crowd. 😜

XO Sliced Fish Bee Hoon ($9) from Hong Kong Street Chun Tat Kee located at a coffeeshop along Holland Drive (sorry I can't find the right geotag).

My jaw dropped when the staff came with whole bottle of XO Cognac and poured an overflowing spoonful of that aromatic alcohol into the hot bowl of fish soup. 😍 I enjoyed that sweet burnt aftertaste and those chunky yet tender sliced fish.

Well, be prepared for some friendly attention as the strong liquor smell soared through tables away. 😅

If you've only had cheong fun (steamed rice roll) with char siew (bbq pork) in artificial colouring, try this XO BBQ Pork Steamed Rice Roll ($4.80) at Haikee Brothers (@haikeebrothers). Thick slices of pork with caramelized coat on the outside, and a balance ratio of fats and lean meat. If only the meat was more tender and flavourful for the thin silky rice skin. 😋
