Great coffee at @canopygardendining as always! Just the right amount of body and comforting flavours delivered with that essential caffeine kick, surrounded by calming greenery~ 🍃

𝙏𝙂𝙄𝙁!!! And TGFN (Thank God for @nyloncoffee 😆🍃☕☕)

Finally made it here again after a few failed attempts (Covid, renovation works etc...) and I'm truly thankful for the chance to savour a simple cuppa coffee that goes straight to the heart. ♥️♥️

Definitely one of my go-to coffee places whenever I'm in the Duxton area~~

𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒘𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔 🍓 are one of my favourite things, and savouring a classic 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙬𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙎𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙘𝙖𝙠𝙚 in a relaxing minimalist environment with a refreshing cuppa ☕ is such a lovely treat for the soul. 🌿

@simple.cafesg is moving to a new location soon, so please visit them while you still can! 😘♥️♥️

Conceptualised by Head Chef Takuya Yamashita of One-Michelin starred Whitegrass and executed by one of my go-to tea places Hvala 🍵, I was extremely stoked to check out the 𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙝-𝙅𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙚 🇫🇷🇯🇵 inspired menu at the newly opened @boyutei on Ann Siang Hill.

𝙀𝙗𝙞 𝙆𝙖𝙩𝙨𝙪 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙤 🦐🍞 - Sandos are all the rage these days, and it's no surprise that Boyutei has jumped onto the Sando bandwagon. This deceptively simple looking dish was much better than we'd expected, with every bite of the thick prawn cutlet filled with juicy chunks of 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙬𝙣, nicely contrasting with fresh (raw) 𝙘𝙖𝙗𝙗𝙖𝙜𝙚 drizzled with 𝙨𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙩 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞 𝙨𝙖𝙪𝙘𝙚.

𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙖 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙚 🍵🇯🇵 - THE main reason why I visited in the first place! 🤭💚💚 As a huge fan of Japanese crepes, how could I miss this chewy rendition of a freshly 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙖 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙚 accentuated with earthy 𝙂𝙤𝙢𝙖 𝘽𝙞𝙩𝙨 and 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙖 𝙄𝙘𝙚 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢 from Hvala? 😍🍵The portion is pretty huge, and good to share for 2 pax!

𝘾𝙤𝙧𝙣 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙥 🌽 - Sadly, this soup tasted mainly of milk, and we were kinda disappointed that it wasn't bursting with the flavours of corn, nor the satisfying mouthfeel of a good cream soup. It wasn't bad, but wasn't exactly good either.

While the food we tried was mostly delicious, I'm not quite sure if we'd return again since the items weren't exactly mind-blowing for the price tag paid... Nevertheless, definitely recommend swinging by for a try of their signature items at least once! 😋♥️♥️♥️

Was a little heartbroken that I had to takeaway my fave @kingscartcoffeesg 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙡 𝙇𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚 and drink it on the go, but was pleasantly surprised that the barista still put in the effort for a pretty latte art to brighten up my day! Much appreciated!!!😘☕❤️❤️

Super bonus points for the adorable latte art from the very adorable barista at @6lettercoffee who totally made my day!😘❤️❤️

With every creamy mouthful of this cuppa 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙖 𝙇𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚🌿 with a hint of grassy bitterness, I could feel my stress melting away~~ 🧘🏻🍃🍃

Hailing from Omotesando, Tokyo, Japan, @flippers.jp is well known for their fluffy soufflé pancakes 🥞❤️, but I was pleasantly surprised that they serve a pretty good cuppa coffee too!

Despite it being several months into the Tiger Year 🐯🎋, I certainly didn't mind this mega kawaii cutie served up on my cuppa Mocha at @flippers.singapore ! 🥰☕❤️❤️

Thank you for brightening up my day, pretty latte art is always a mood booster, don't you guys agree? 🥰☀️

Brought to you by the folks at @cafecocosg (which has since closed at GTBB 🥲), @folksatrise is a cosy little café nestled in the Potong Pasir neighbourhood, located a few doors down from @kizunasg 🤗❤️❤️

While we had originally made our way down to 𝑲𝒊𝒛𝒖𝒏𝒂 for their lunch bowls on a regular weekday, we were met with waves of disappointment after we were informed that everything we had in mind was no longer on the menu/sold out etc after placing our orders at the counter. 🥲

On the bright side ☀️, this brought us to the pretty little café @folksatrise which had also been on my wishlist for the longest time! 😍 Being a small neighbourhood café with less than 10 tables, be prepared to wait for seats even on weekdays even though a time limit is stated on the menu.

Spoilt for choice with all the gorgeous tea cakes 🧁🌼 and very tempting 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙖 𝙏𝙖𝙧𝙩 reminiscent of Korean cafés, I decided to indulge in their freshly made 𝙎𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝘽𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝘽𝙪𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙒𝙖𝙛𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙨 ($7.90) and topped it up with a scoop of 𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙠 & 𝙃𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙮 𝙂𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙤 🥛🍯 and 𝘽𝙡𝙪𝙚 𝙑𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖 𝙂𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙤. YASSSSS waffles for lunch, just because I can! 😝🧇❤️🧇

The 𝘽𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝘽𝙪𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙒𝙖𝙛𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙨 were absolutely amazing, light and airy with a crispy outer layer just as I love my waffles to be. 😋❤️ Honestly, the maple syrup isn't even required cos they taste so good on their own! 🧇❤️❤️ The gelato, however, was just okayyyyy IMO... I'll probably save those calories for their cakes or 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙖 𝙏𝙖𝙧𝙩 instead! 🤭

There's just something comforting about a cup of simple 𝙄𝙘𝙚𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙚, and @huggs.sg has been one of my go-to places for my lunch-time caffeine fix.

This is my first time trying their 𝙄𝙘𝙚𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙚, which is more reminiscent of a local 𝙆𝙤𝙥𝙞 𝙋𝙚𝙣𝙜 from the coffeeshop, rather than my usual cuppa Flat White or Iced Latte... Will probably stick to my usual options moving forward since it didn't deliver as much kick compared to regular lattes.

Creamy, sweet, comforting. If I thought I had that all in a cuppa @arabica.sg 𝙄𝙘𝙚𝙙 𝙎𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙇𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚, the hot version took me to another level of happiness, especially with that intricate swan latte art beautifully executed by the barista. 🦢☕

Weekends are always a time to look forward to, especially when it comprises a leisurely brunch reminiscent of the wonderful cafés in Australia 🇦🇺...

So while it isn't the best time to scramble for a VTL flight to down under for now with the Omicron wave going strong, I'm incredibly thankful that we have one of our fave cafés @thebrewingground serving up some of the best brunches in the neighbourhood! 🥰🥐♥️♥️

Definitely can't miss their signature creamy 𝙎𝙘𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙀𝙜𝙜🐣, 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝘽𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙🍞, and the generous serving of 𝘼𝙫𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙙𝙤 🥑 in their breakfast platter!

And of course, the essential cuppa 𝙁𝙡𝙖𝙩 𝙒𝙝𝙞𝙩𝙚 ☕ which I wouldn't miss for the world. 🥰♥️♥️

𝙈𝙧. 𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙁𝙡𝙖𝙩 𝙒𝙝𝙞𝙩𝙚☕✨($5.40) - I usually go for coffee beans with a nutty profile, but my instinct told me to try 𝙈𝙧. 𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚 and I was pleasantly surprised by how "bright" this cuppa turned out to be! Paired with creamy milk, it was extremely refreshing and wasn't too tart or acidic, which I really appreciated. Definitely a cuppa I'll return for! 😘♥️♥️

𝘽𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙛𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝘽𝙪𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙧 🍔($17.70) - An assembly of cheddar scrambled eggs, spicy aioli, caramelised onions, back-bacon, brioche buns with a side of mini hash browns. Loved how the eggs were beautifully done, although the price is kinda on the steeper side for a "regular" burger.

𝘾𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙙 𝘽𝙖𝙘𝙤𝙣 𝘽𝙪𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙠 𝙒𝙖𝙛𝙛𝙡𝙚 🥓 ($15.50) - The waffles here are more dense than fluffy, which offers a substantial feeling of satisfaction with each bite. I personally prefer light airy waffles though, so I wouldn't say this is a fave!

Overall, we really enjoyed our experience here, plus points for the fans at the outdoor area which kept us cool despite the scorching heat! 🥵🧊☀️
