New japanese store at Toa Payoh. Generous lightly torched mentaiko cream drizzled over fried salmon with Japanese rice. 🍚I liked that there isn't much sauce underneath the salmon. I preferred my rice to have minimal sauce.

Dined with a group of 4. Sharing 3 mains with 2 sides each.

It was a rather small restaurant, but with a very cosy yet charming interior. Feels like a classy American diner with a Gatsby charm to it.

We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak, Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Nashville Hot Chicken, and about every side dish they had. The first two mains were pretty tasty. Freshly fried and juicy, but not too greasy. Nashville was a miss though. It was sweet yet savoury, but not in a good way that we enjoyed.

We really enjoyed the mash potatoes and mac & cheese. Coleslaw wasn't too heavily drenched in sauce too.

We wanted to try the No Frills Cheeseburger, as it look really good on our neighbouring tables, but we were too stuffed.

Overall, great casual place for catchup with friends! It was rather quiet on a Friday night, but it was still rather new then. They do accept reservations anyway, so why not? (:

The tender fried chicken and fluffy pancakes delivered with FedEx levels of competence, but the headliner here is indisputably the chye poh-esque chilli, which presents a riotous carnival of flavours - from sweet and seedy spicy to saliva-teasingly tangy - that will run the real risk of you having insufficient chilli for the titular items due to you being so stalkerishly addicted to that wicked nectar. 3.9/5

The curried cauliflower was crisp and light, while the madras curry yoghurt really brought out the best flavors. A must order dish!

Hainanese Chicken Rice Risotto 🐔: This dish is SO ON POINT 💯💯💯 Really tastes like chicken rice but is extra hearty and comforting in risotto form and the nice soy sauce like broth. Made perfect with crispy chicken skin and fried shallots! 😍

Mentaiko Tiger Prawn Pasta 🍤: a more ordinary dish that was well-executed. Such a generous dollop of mentaiko so the aglio olio was full of flavour with every bite 😍 Lemon made it extra refreshing and not jelat 👌🏻 All mains at Stateland are at $20nett price inclusive of drinks! Got myself an Apple Pie Latte ($5.50 on its own)! Turned out pretty yums with scents of cinnamon in between sips. #burpple #dqky

Tender & Juicy Chicken. Mentaiko Tiger Prawn Pasta is a MUST-TRY! Another good thing is the beverage is FREE!

Pork sausage and octopus (red wine braised) may not be the most common bedfellows that come to mind when thinking of pasta sauce combinations, but the flavours worked seamlessly together (especially with the fennel seeds), cloaking chewy chunks of cavatelli in its umami, tomato-ey goodness.

Super stoked to have finally met @chiwaicafe's top friend @munchingmarc who has an exceptional taste for good food (and great friends!). Brunch at Nosh certainly made my belly happy but more than that, it was the company that made my heart happy!

Only available on weekends, this lobster roll surprisingly surpassed my expectations, with generous stuffings of slipper lobster chunks that's well-marinated in creamy Japanese dressing, topped with tobiko roe and sandwiched between a soft butter roll. The lobster chunks were fresh, with a springy and slightly chewy texture, lying comfortably on a base of crisp raw lettuce in a soft, fluffy and pillowy grilled butter roll. Fries, on the downside, though crisp, were pretty mediocre. The mesclun salad turned out to be shredded lettuce lightly spiced up with a Japanese goma dressing and topped with sesame seeds. Nevertheless, the main highlight remains as the lobster roll, which is a definite must try-given its substantial portion and reasonable pricing. And not forgetting, freshness and satisfaction to the palate 😋

originally came here for brunch but we missed the time (until 11)☹️ so we had lunch instead!
got the risotto, spaghetti and watermelon crab salad - they all tasted p good!!! nice ambience as well~ but the price point is the problem LOL
overall had a great meal, would come back for meals to celebrate special occasions~

😍 Yes, the rumour is true. It was as good as being described by many!🤤👍🏻 The $16 price tag justifiable by those gigantic prawns, clams, smoked pancetta and superior pork broth used. 😊👌🏻 Reserve a table now through @chopesg to prevent disappointment when you head down! 😊
