Burgers
Sink your teeth into the Smokin' B-Boy ($23), a community favourite — 150g black angus patty, bbq ketchup, streaky bacon, bawang goreng, smoked cheese and smokey mayo. Kick back with a classic Old Fashioned ($16) or get cheeky with a Straight Into Quayside ($18) mezcal cocktail.

You gotta feel the softness of the buns, wholesomeness of the thick burger and bite through the whole thing in every mouthful. That’s the best way to enjoy every part of the burger and how it all come together.
At Wildfire, we would happily use all our 10 fingers for their burgers. This was the 2nd time we ate their Truffle Mushroom burger. It was utterly juicy and atrociously delicious. Yes, our point delivered.
For sides, their fried chicken was a must-order. Think any good fast food fried chicken but in the best ways possible. Crispy and thin chicken skin without oily fats, juicy meat. Yummy stuff.
It's been a awhile since this raved burger store entered the scene and my never exhausting wishlist of food. I stay in the west, and Golden Mile Food Centre is really not the most convenient location for a meal. After much debate, I finally made my way down to try it for myself and taste if Burgs is indeed worth the hype.
Sandwhiched between the fluffy buns with the familiar logo is a sizeable patty with cheese, green bell pepper and to my surprise, fried shallots! The patty had a good char to the sides and was cooked to a good degree. The addition of shallots made the burger stood out more, giving it an extra pop of asian flavour with a delightful fragrance that lingered. Who knew that it would be such a phenominal combination?!
The fries were decent too, with options to dress it up with different sauces such as cheese and truffle cream. On a side note, they also sell their various fries ala carte so it is great if you just want to get some extra snacks to share. Considering the price point, Burgs is one of the best burgers around and I definitely see myself returning for more of these.
Potato Head Folk’s second tribute burger is dedicated to Tupac, whose favourite food is apparently buffalo wings! Using whole sakura chickens, this burger comes stacked with two deep-fried chicken patties – one thigh, one using breast meat – slathered in a Sriracha and Henessy mayo, MOFO buffalo sauce and topped with shredded pickled daikon. This definitely isn’t for the faint-hearted, both in size and flavour. It’s pretty spicy, which I loved though the sauces do lean on the heavy side (the pickled daikon is essential here!). Since they use the whole chicken, they even decided to add in a buffalo wing! Come ravenous or be prepared to share this, cause this burger ain’t messing around. 👅💦
*this burger should be sticking around for a couple of months from August
