ITALIAN & WESTERN FARES
mains were not bad, we had the fried chicken served with mashed potatoes and gravy as well as the crab pasta in aglio olio style!!
chicken was tender, nicely seasoned and battered. the pasta was normal, had chucks of the crab claw
we also had a side of mac and cheese which was apparently one of their star dish. it wasn’t the best mac and cheese to me. but passable
celebrated a friend’s birthday here.
i enjoyed the crispy calamari but not so much the fries as i don’t really like vinegar
Also a fan of duck confit, i decided to try their rendition of the duck confit which is served with black rice, honey garlic soy sauce, potato gratin, asparagus and maple apple.
the duck leg was really tender and early to cut into. but i felt their sauce was too sweet and the black rice was slightly weird. for me, only the gratin worked well with the duck leg.
really love the ambience here- it’s so cosy where you get to sit on sofas which were slightly low but not that convenient for a meal. chit chats and high teas would be great here. good dating spot here too as it’s pretty quiet
onto the food, i ordered my fave dish here after i tried it at their jewel outlet and that would be the wild salmon fettuccine!!! really well balanced dish. we ordered a side of mala spicy chicken pop which is a different take your usual kfc popcorn chicken.
i pretty much enjoyed this. the chicken was thinly pounded and served with marinara and mozerella. chicken was tender and not dry and the outer breaded layer was still abit crispy
but still recommending this for sharing
lavo’s carbonara is not overly creamy or saucey.
as for the pizza, tried their margherita previously so tried their black truffle this time round. still loving their crust as always. i still prefer the margherita one.
i love fried food and this calamari hits the spot!!!
charred octopus is pretty soft
medium rare
added on a 400g lobster at $38
love that the macaroni used was not usual small curved ones. instead, it’s a slightly longer spiral shape that allows you to have more bite
cheese was good, pretty salty
these onion rings were so lightly battered, allowing it to retain its crisp. super airy and not oily
complimentary selection of bread was so good!! there were cheese sticks, some cheese bread and focaccia which was so soft and bouncy
got their set lunch which came with a soup of the day, garlic bread, mains, coffee / tea and a dessert
soup of the day was pumpkin soup which i enjoyed because it wasn’t too thick
fish was well grilled with crispy edge. the garlic shallot sauce was really good and the mashed potato was great as well
