Stop by this romantic hole-in-the-wall along Haji Lane for a dose of quality seafood. Order their Grilled River Prawns ($16) for well-grilled and deliciously sweet prawns that are seasoned with nori cilantro butter and housemade shio kelp. Also try their Curry Mussels With Mantou (from $16) that feature fresh and juicy mussels accompanied by crisp golden-brown buns — heavenly when dipped into the creamy curry. To share, get the nicely Roasted Black Grouper ($28) that sees a perfect balance between the sweet cream sauce and the sourness from the side of pickled mushrooms.

The bang-for-your-buck Crab beehoon ($70/kg) features a big portions of crab and white bee hoon soaked in tasty, creamy broth. Another popular dish is their succulent Chilli Crab (from $68.90) bathed in a slighty eggy spicy sauce.

Be sure to try their Salmon Sandwich ($19.90) that sees fresh salmon slices in crisp and chewy homemade pita bread. Choose between a white wine sauce or the spicy tomato one to accompany your bowl of plump and tender New Zealand (North Island) Green Lipped Mussels ($17.95). For fresh, briny oysters, order their Baked Oyster Trays ($25.95 for 6) or pop by on Tuesdays to get 35 percent off Freshly Shucked Oysters. Alternatively, feast on House Oysters at $1.95 each! P.S. Jot this Kovan restaurant down for casual dinner with family and friends. The Tom Yum Seafood ($18) with tons of prawns, mussels, fish, mushrooms and squid in a tangy, spicy flavour-packed broth served in a charcoal pot is good for sharing — especially on rainy days. Either way, ensure that the Snapper Pie ($40) graces your table for a sure-to-please, buttery and flaky pastry packed with a creamy fish filling. Try their signature Hickory-Smoked Salmon with Forbidden Grains ($19.8) served with a purple cabbage slaw, or the juicy Canadian Miso Halibut with Quinoa ($24.8). At night, NUDE Seafood transform into a contemporary Asian seafood restaurant. The succulent Hickory Smoked Salmon ($12.80) now comes lightly charred and wrapped in bamboo leaf to retain moisture and elevate the natural flavours of the salmon. Burppler Xing Wei Chua recommends pairing the dish with their Salted Fish Blue Pea Rice ($4.8). Starters are from $5.8, mains are from $12.8, and desserts are at $6.8. Quality and affordability are the name of NUDE's game.

Choose from a simple menu of three: Chunky's Original ($16) for chunky and fresh lobster tossed in mayo, slathered with lemon butter and garnished in a blend of herbs and spices. Mad for fromage? The sweet and salty Chunky's Cheezy ($16) with mozzarella, cheddar, parmesan and nacho cheese is sure to satisfy. Otherwise, keep it simple with Chunky's Connecticut ($16) for good ol' lobster with melted butter on a toasty roll.

Impress grandma with their Lobster in Homemade Champagne Sauce ($50) that sees generous portions of lobster meat in a champagne sauce that brings out the lobster's sweetness. Come by during Happy Hour (till 8pm) and feast on their wide selection of sweet and creamy oysters (from $3) like Hama Hama, Blue Pool, Eld Inlet and Fat Bastard. Get their Uni small plate (from $13) to share for a taste of cauliflower puree, toasted brioche and fresh sea urchin. For something more substantial, the Lobster Roll (from $45) features massive chunks of fresh lobster in buttery toast and dressed to the nines in melted cheese. Burppler Veronica Phua recommends washing it all down with their savoury vodka-based Lobster Bloody Mary (from $20) that comes with a chunk of lobster meat on a stick.

Round up the gang for a splurge-worthy meal at Gillman Barracks. Must-tries include their comforting Hae Mee Tng ($25) where slices of pork and fresh prawns swim in a sweet broth. Also good is the Locally-farmed barramundi and the super popular Chilled Piquant Rice Vermicelli ($8) topped with a mountain of Sakura Ebi, both of which can also be found in their Dinner Menu (from $68). End the night on a high by hopping over to the bar next door, Nekkid, for a night cap or two.
