Pasta๐ & Baked Rice
One of the v few in SG done the authentic way without cream๐๐ผ But we were clowning and chose sweet potato noodles instead of pasta๐ ๐คก which made this carbonara way too dry and clumpyโฆ
Never in my life have I had pasta in a singular giant sheet๐ฏ Accompanying this al dente blanket were soft-to-the-bite tender braised Wagyu pieces and a rich red wine demi-glace๐คค๐ฅฉ
the beef cheek meant business๐คค๐คค
super tasty and vv generous portion!! even though jackโs place is known for their grills, i think i prefer this hehe

Because the chicken skewers were deeply spiced, I liked that the tomato-cream base of the ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ($๐๐) was kept simple๐ so the flavours could keep its richness without being overpowering! Pappardelle (you can pick your type of pasta๐) was al dente too.
Alsooo house wines were only $10 during ๐๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ so we celebrated TGIF early๐ท๐ฅณ

unfortunately my least favourite dish here :( even though the balsamic chilli oil base was flavourful, the pasta didnโt realy absorb the flavour and tasted really bland. chorizo was veryyy tough too
was really looking forward to this. yes it was briny and all but idkโฆwas missing that oomph. maybe i expected it to be more creamy with more uni and a bigger portion??
this outlet-exclusive is topped with foie gras, spinach and hazelnuts, giving merci marcelโs usual ravioles de royans an added depth of flavourโจโจ
also since covid restrictions are kinda lifted, soup and ice lemon tea are self service!!
baked spinach & ricotta cannelloni ($30) was essentially a lasagna in cylindrical form, STUFFED. w spinach and ricotta and the tomato sauce leaned towards the sour side.
