The baby lamb rack was a surprise - perfectly cooked and the flavors packed a punch! We will definitely be back for the lamb.
Unfortunately, the octopus leg was over cooked and could do with more seasoning. The mashed potatoes served at the base was super thick and starchy (weβve never tasted mashed potatoes like this). There was also a sweet taste to it which made us unsure if this was even mashed potatoes.

The carbonara featured spaghetti cooked al dente served with aged pork cheek, egg, pecorino, black pepper and parmesan cheese. The sauce was really thick and a bit on the salty side but it was still delicious.
Nestled in Jln Besar, the new Fyr outlet is a rustic yet chic restaurant that highlights Modern European Grill with a Southeast Asian spices. Soak in the laid back atmosphere and have a bottle beer at only $10++ a pint! Fyr has revamped their menu with additional new delicious dishes; and to top the cherry on the cake, they have also revamped all their prices, making it truly value for money. Burppler Doby Loo recommends ordering the lamb rack ($34) despite the waiting time because of how "tender, juicy and fatty" the meat is! To complete your main, be sure to order the photogenic Baked Pistachio Melt & Pandan Ice Cream ($12) for an interesting twist of flavours that complements each other!

no words. calamari was fresh, and we rly rly enjoyed the pizza and truffle fries!!!!!!!
Set meal consisted of:
1) Truffle fries (UP $12): Light truffle fragrance with generous serving of parmesan cheese. It was decent!
2) Bruschetta Mista (UP $10): 4 pieces of bruschetta were toasted perfectly, with lots of tomato and mushroom. This was really good!
3) Pesto pasta (UP $20): Fricelli pasta felt abit undercooked, and the basil pesto sauce was slightly too salty. The scallops felt like frozen scallops from supermarkets that were chopped into thirds.
4) Crab meat pasta (UP $21): This was really good!!! The spaghetti strands were well coated with pink sauce and there were generous servings of crab meat.
5) Berry and lychee soda (UP $10): Berry soda had squashed berries in it. Lychee soda had canned lychees in it. Berry soda was more flavourful and aesthetics!
Saved $17 by using the burpple deal. Overall 6/10!
price: $24
the pasta was generously doused in a creamy mentaiko sauce, which was complemented by the crunchy salty ikura. however, the sauce was slightly overwhelming after a while. this is a dish to share with your friends and family (but if you're greedy like me, feel free to keep it all for yourself πΉ).
Interior of the place is cute, warm and cozy. The food portions were quite small, but the taste is unique. For the price paid, would say itβs interesting to try once! Used the Burple 6 course set meal.
To note that although it says itβs 6 course set meal, 4 of them are sharing plates...
Conveniently located just a few minutesβ walk from Kallang MRT, Knock Knock Cafe seeks to excite your palate with its range of fusion and western dishes. With the likes of Beer Battered Mentaiko Fish & Chips ($18), Otak-Otak Burgers ($17), and Tiger Prawn βHei Bi Hiamβ Aglio Olio ($17), your tastebuds are surely in for a treat! Even better, the cafe comes decorated with many Instagram-worthy photo spots β think floral aesthetics and neon lights everywhere!
A glance at Aroundβs new cafe in Tampines might have you asking, βis this in Singapore?β With a gorgeous glasshouse exterior, high ceilings and a minimalistic interior, we feel right at home in this idyllic space in the East. From aΓ§ai bowls to waffles loaded with scoops of ice-cream, Around is surely a place you canβt miss. While youβre here, give their highly-rated pistachio ice cream a try! As Burppler Foodie W puts it, βThe waffle was served warm and was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and went well with nutella. Ice cream was also good, especially the pistachio as it was nutty, rich and smooth.β
Come on over and whisk yourself away from metropolitan Singapore for a while, all with a good bowl of dessert!

Got the Combo B ($10.80) which came with popcorn chicken and 2 flavours of fries. We chose truffle for the chicken, and cheese/sour cream for the fries.
They have some really interesting flavours available like mala/curry/salted caramel. Next time!
The atmosphere, service and food are great! Just a pity the Seafood angel hair pasta is cooked to the softer side, feels like Iβm eating bak chor mee kia, overall still a flavourful dish with generous serving of fresh seafood. The Gambas prawn pasta is highly recommended!
We ordered Beach Bottom and Fly Me to The Moon for the mocktails - with the latter on the sourish side that I prefer better.
Itβs a great deal with 1-1 Burrple Main Dish+Mocktail, paid about $35 for two pasta and two mocktails.
