Fei Chang Hao’s sauce utilises a soy sauce from Guangdong instead of the usual Hong Kong light soy sauce, alongside several other spices, with no MSG.

capturing fresh, chewy prawns but somewhat missing the spicy kick of 红油抄手。it's more on the sour and tangy side but I wished it also gave more of that numbing delight. Nevertheless, still plump & juicy ($7.50)
Comes in 4 level of spiciness. I had it in level 3 super spicy mode and I got to say it's real spicy even for a spicy eater like me cause it makes me sweat. That spiciness is one of a kind.🌶️🌶️
Springy noodles topped with unique marinated chicken, then spam with homemade chilli sauce. Mix the noodles well before eating and enjoy the mini burn in your tongue. Noodles will be coated with oil and spice after mixture, eat it slow so you don't get sudden throat irritation.
Reminds me the days I went to Bandung, Indonesia to have Mie Rica but a pork version. Noodles, taste and spiciness will definitely better over at Bandung if wanna compare. Felt the local version here lacks some savouriness.

Plan for a celebration with a classic Nonya feast at this traditional Peranakan restaurant along Joo Chiat Place. Feast on their Babi Ponteh (from $13), Ayam Bua Kuluak (from $14.10), Sambal Sotong (from $13) and Nonya Chap Chye (from $8.60). Of course, their signature Fish Head Assam Pedas ($24/half head) is a must-order for a spicy and tangy kick! Perfect comfort food for the rainy season we have going on.

All the dimsum we ordered really exceeded our expectations (siew mai, xlb, har gao, etc) and the 生煎包 is also really tasty, the meat inside is moist and juicy. Also ordered other main dishes like the chicken soup with dumplings, it has a really rich flavour and definitely 上汤 standard. Come here if you’re seeking higher end Chinese food and dimsum with your family
Located at a walking distance from Swee Choon, i feel that Dim Sum Haus is a better option. Although the place is much smaller, the food quality is much better. However, the waiting time for the food was quite long as the restaurant was pretty crowded. Their Chee Cheong Fun & Salted Egg Custard Bun are a must order!!
This beef cheek is probably one of the best that I have had so far this year. Perhaps these beef cheeks have been braised and not sous-vide, which some places have chosen to adopt such a method, the meat was fork-tender and moist with a gelatinous texture, rather than stringy and flat in taste.

Pork was tender, sauce was flavourful, but the serving was really small for this price, which seemed very unjustified. Fortunately the 1-for-1 deal made it more reasonable.
I didn’t really have a good experience here due to the many hidden charges that were just served without our knowledge of their costs. I know that Chinese restaurants may do this, but there was just too many - crackers on the table, water served per person, and then for the rice which we asked only for 2 servings, and then they charged us for 3 (we were 3 people). When we asked them about it, they wouldn’t budge or make any negotiations.
I wouldn’t come back here again. Food was okay but honestly not worth the extravagant prices for such small servings, and this experience just left a bad impression.
On the pricier side but definitely sufficient to satisfy ur dimsum cravings. Siewmai and custard buns were great. They didn’t let me use #burpplebeyond ytd claiming it is cny period..
