Was only brought to the attention about the Affogato at McCafe after coming across a post by @raineraineeataway some time back on her chance encounter on the item — while it was first announced some time back when McDonalds had first opened their outlet at Marina Cove in East Coast Park that the location will be offering outlet-exclusive items, the impression of this news has pretty much faded over the passing of time. Turns out, McDonald’s is still carrying the said outlet-exclusive items in the McCafe menu at their outlet at Marine Cove almost nearly a decade after its opening (this outlet opened their doors in 2016); one being the Affogato, and the other being the Belgian Waffle with Mixed Berries.
It is pretty easy to be quite dismissive about the Affogato here for a simple reason — this is essentially an assembly of McCafe’s Espresso with McDonald’s Vanilla Soft-Serve; something they can be said as rather predictable and to a certain degree not quite as authentic as what one would expect to get if dining at a true-blue Italian establishment. That being said, there are some differences if one decides to do a self-assembly of this item by ordering the individual elements and putting it altogether at other McDonald’s locations housing a McCafé. For one, the shot of espresso is being steeped into the paper cup before the Vanilla soft-serve is swirled into it; this also means that the Vanilla soft-serve is unlikely to have become too melted down when it is being served. The proportion of vanilla soft serve and coffee hits the sweet spot, striking a good balance of the bitter undertones of the coffee as well as the creaminess and sweetness of their standard vanilla soft-serve. While travelling into Marine Cove at East Coast Park just for the Affogato does sound a little crazy even for those whom are especially interested in the item, the price of $4.45 for the Affogato does make it rather accessible considering the price of Affogato in a typical cafe or in restaurants that serves it; definitely scratches the cravings for us for sure though!

Juicy beef patty dipped into that delicious Samurai sauce, then sandwich with hamburger with lettuce and mayo. Seaweed shaker fries is madly shiok!!! Finger-licking gooood! Kit Kat McFlurry, $3.10. Have a break, have a Kit Kat! We love snacking on Kit Kat anytime of the day, don’t you? Kit Kat had recently collab with Mcdonald and we decided to give it a try.. Red Kit Kat labelled cup filled with vanilla ice cream, sprinkled with raisin size Kit Kat balls and topped with chocolate drizzle... it’s an interesting combination! .

The fish and fries was pretty much like an upsized fillet o' fish, the batter was very crispy and not oily 😋. If you love fillet o' fish, you might like this. The sweet chilli fish burger is similar to the fish fillet, with the additional of sweet chili mayo, vegetables and sandwiches between chili buns. And the chocolate pie that people would brave the queue for. The molten chocolate lava was not too sweet in the chocolatey crust. I don't mind to buy this again if there's no queue.
The new promotional meal by McDonald’s turned out to be more of a hit than a miss for me. The Fish & Fries Special, comprising a Fish & Fries, a beverage and a Chocolate Pie, left me wanting for more.
What was amazing about the meal was that the fish was well-battered and fried to the point of a light crunchiness, yet not giving it a very oily feel. Though part of it felt like I was having Long John Silver’s, the fact that it was paired with their tartar sauce and the signature French Fries had surely not disappointed me, though I really wished there were more.
The other big “wow” was their Chocolate Pie, with rich molten chocolate oozing out from the pie when eaten hot. Sure, it will never be as euphoric as compared to eating a Lava Cake, but the quick sell-out of this dessert was already very telling of the diners’ approval.
Sounds good on paper but a falls flat on taste and a tad too dry for my liking. Brownie points for the treble clef plate art.
But only at East Coast Park I suppose... ice cream flavor depending on on the menu for the season with customisable toppings and cone bowl. 3 toppings with lychee ice cream cone bowl for $5.3. But the strawberry sauce is Super sweet hahaha and the layer cake was very disappointing as it’s like biscuit instead of “cake”. I was so excited as I thought I ordered kueh lapis haha. Whole new game for desserts at Mcd. There’s also customisable Cesar salad and Waffle over at Mc Cafe. Love this Mac
To have a nice cuppa joe. This set costed me only $4.95. Otherwise the latte is $3 for a small cup and $3.45 for the mango yoghurt muffin.

Nasi Lemak Burger is back! Finally I got to try it this time. This is seriously not too bad but if there is a choice of Samuria Burger vs this, I will do go for my all time favourite, Samuria Burger.

Revelling in the national day spirit, McCafe has joined in the fray after McD's has successfully launched the Nasi Lemak Burger. This aromatic pandan drink is overpowering at first sip that one might not find that light coconut flavor. Grass jelly gives it texture while I am not a fan of whipped cream. Caution - One might get high on sugar.
Lessons learnt: Next time I should start at East Coast Park instead because Changi Village to ECP is mostly up slope.

This ice blended chocolate malt drink was packed with lotsa chocolate goodness. With crunchy coco pops, then drizzled with chocolate sauce and topped with generous milo powder, every mouthful was indulgence! Thank you McDonalds @mcdsg @mccafesg for this sweet treat ❤️

The new McDonald's at Marine Cove is huge! And damn does it look atas. There is also a gigantic playground with tons of things to play with. I wouldn't mind going there again 😬
Also, I swear this photo looks like it was taken straight out of a McDonald's advertisement. So.. Can I be their spokesperson? 🤔

Really had no expectation once I saw the burger...
However.... To my surprise, the burger was good! The cheese, beef patty and spicy ketchup combination sauce with bacon certainly gives this burger its unique taste.. It's simple and yet, delicious!
