Temple Annual Dinner
The family enjoyed it very much even for the little ones.
The ι¦™ε“δΈ‰εˆCrispy Bean-Skin Bag In Sandwich Style was a hit with the young ones!
Ending the meal with η™½ζžœθŠ‹ζ³₯ Ginkgo-Nut In Taro Paste which was quite rich.

The food is not bad. The green vegs and clear soups (like the seaweed soup) tend to be more flavourful than the mock meat dishes. However, this is much less refined than say, Whole Earth, which kind of defines the standards for vegetarian restaurants in Singapore.

I came here for CNY reunion lunch with my family. We ordered 10 course set lunch and chose red bean pancake as the dessert. The food is really tasty even for non vegetarian, like myself. πŸ‘

First dish was this meatless mock Peking duck! (Made of beancurd sheets and mushrooms). Other dishes we tried too was the gongbao mushrooms, truffle Yee mian, claypot tofu, kailan and sharkfin soup. All in their mock meat forms. For someone who doesn't eat veg, I was full from lunch πŸ˜…

Pleasant surprise to see this dish. Two different layer of mock pork combine for deep fried to perfect crisp, wrap into lettuce and cucumber. Sweet dark bean sauce dipping. $35 per medium portion. Totally worth it. Colour, taste and exciting, definitely ice breaker on the table.

Fragrant olive fried rice, the smell is so pleasing when served. Medium portion cost $13, for five to six adults. Highly recommend dish. Restaurant lights make photo a bit off colour.

Was practically forced to eat this. Becoz I am a carnivore, I need my meat. But the Wife insisted and here I was. Surprisingly, the sweet and sour "pork" taste a lot better then those I have eaten at zi char stores. Overall, it's a good experience, food was so much better then I expected. I actually ate until I was full. No animals were harmed for my benefit this dinner.

Sweet sour pork - $12
Assam fish -$13
Broccoli with venison -$12

Family dinner at Miao Yi after their relocation from Coronation Plaza to People's Park Centre. Food tastes just as good and prices hadn't increase despite the posher ambience at their current location. Some of the dishes we always do without fail: Match Perfection (Crispy nuggets filled with seaweed and mushroom cooked in sweet and sour sauce), Dragon of Excellence (Mock fish made of Beancurd skin), Claypot Tofu and Sambal Kang Kong. πŸ‘πŸ»
