Long story short, they didn’t disappoint at all, in terms of taste and quantity. I’d recommend getting at least one of their Okinawa Soba mains (Hiyashi Soba w Truffle Shoyu), whereby the noodles are freshly air-flown from 🇯🇵. The Yaki Somen Whisky was a slurpalicious treat and packed with flavour. Of course, you’ve to indulge in their yummy Japanese yakitori too and order some beer or sake for the complete experience!😊

Thanks to @const8383 awesome recommendation! Their tsukune chicken meatballs with creamy #mentaiko sauce is so good! Also ordered their #ibericopork as well as Yaki Somen Whisky which paired together very well. 😋Yums!
Among the extensive range of grilled meats Mikawa has to offer, the Sliced Iberico Pork with Truffle Sauce ($12) is a must-order. Tender and juicy pork slices doused in a not-too-salty sauce with a subtle fragrance of truffle. In fact, this was the only dish my (already stuffed) dining companions and I had seconds of.

Somen with whiskey is a must order. Texture is like mee sua and I really like how the lightness of this complements the yakitori. I would totally come back for this, I’m a total somen convert. Somen over soba, udon, ramen and whatsoever.
Just 1 serving of this juicy chicken ball skewer slathered generously with #mentaiko is never enough.
Been awhile since I’ve last had beef tongue. This one was so soft and tender as it melted in my mouth. Served with wedges on the side. Great portion and value for money.
This dish was really tasty and full of flavour. As you chew each spoon of rice you find little chucks of unagi with a garlic flavour in the rice grains and sweetness from the corn. This dish was not overly salty served with miso soup and ice cream dessert 👍
Perfectly chargrilled chicken parts loved the heart and skin especially. Never a fan of anything liver but this tasted really good I’m sure liver lovers will love this.
Truly a hidden gem and underrated place.
Kinda wish it was still runny in the centre and when i bit into it, it would explode golden yolk-y goodness.. But it didn't.
Grilled and dried out to perfection. Tastes like a cross between dried cuttlefish and bakkwa. Awesome with mayo but about 7 strips this size cost $5.90.

@mikawasg yakitori bar is most likely the only izakaya along Siglap 🇯🇵 they need no promo or advertising as they have their own neighborhood regulars in fact it’s get crowded! they have a homely ambience with an extensive affordable menu of signature authentic #kushiyaki skewers ✨ Yaki/grilled onigiri ($3.90) is always a must-get for me at yakitori places - I love the charred crispy exterior and soft mushy inside❤️paired with plum sauce!💕got their Tamago bacon ($4) and shiitake bacon maki with cheese ($2.90) which is the bomb - cheese egg bacon is just best combi😍💣 the Yaki tofu miso ($2) tastes more soy than your usual fried tofu with a intense miso sauce to balance it out✨ overrall, it’s definitely a worth all the regulars’ support🥰
