If you are around in Buona Vista or One-north, this is one Korean restaurant you can consider!

The Seafood Pancake ($18) is the must get here to share. Among all the dishes we ordered, this was really the winner! We loved how the pancake was thin, not doughy and full of ingredients. There was a beautiful crispy crust throughout the whole pancake, which gave both flavour and texture to it. The seafood within is pretty fresh and definitely paired well with the sauce given.

The Beef Bulgogi ($17) was pretty decent, as the meat was pretty tender. This can be quite sweet, so for savoury lovers this might not be for you.

The Soybean Soup ($15) is darker than usual, probably because of the use of a dark soybean paste. The soup was also decent, as it was comforting and had full of ingredients. However, I find it a bit too sweet once again.

6 side dishes were given and they were not bad, nothing much to shout out about. Definitely a restaurant I can consider when I'm in the area!

A posh Korean BBQ restaurant in a colonial house, @chingu.rochester offers rather decent lunch sets that you can consider!

I got the Stir-Fried Pork set ($17) which came with a variety of side dishes and soup. The stir fried pork itself is quite tender and definitely very flavourful! I love how the pot that it's served in is still very hot, which burned the bottom of the rice slightly, forming this crispy crust that is similar to that of claypot rice.

The side dishes were decent including the kimchi which isn't too sour.

Considering the location, the lunch set isn't too expensive and the quality is not too bad. An option to consider!

These premium lunch sets are available daily from 11am-2pm, and you can choose from a wide range of food items ranging from noodle, stew to rice sets!

Featured here are the following two lunch sets:
-Soybean Paste Stew Set ($20++): This soybean paste stew soup will warm your tummy! Super love the rich seafood taste for the soup! The soup is also slightly spicy, which i love! This stew comes with prawn, mussels and flower crab! For the seafood lover!

-Jajangmyeon Set ($23++): For jajangmyeon lovers, check out this! A substantial portion of noodles is given and it is super qq chewy! I also like how the meat here for the jajangmyeon sauce is not minced meat, but visible substantial thick pieces of pork meat!

All the set comes with the kimchi sides, mochi balls, drinks (barley / coffee / soft drink) and the soup for the day!

Check this place out for your next lunch!

Yes, back to back posts about soondubu-jjigae!

I was kinda disappointed when J's favourite tak-galbi restaurant Big Mamma vacated their spot at Biopolis. Thankfully, it was taken over by another homely Korean restaurant, Jun Korean BBQ and Beer.

Jun serves awesome and affordable lunch sets. It is my default go to place whenever I am too lazy to drive out and hankering for some decent homely Korean food.
