> Depends on luck, sometimes the carbonara isn't that nice

Generally, food here is not bad! The pan seared salmon was well prepared, and it’s flavours stood out to us. The Nutmeg Platter was a bit of a disappointment as we didn’t expect the dish to be so... small? Would like to try their breakfast dishes next time.

Last month Nutmeg has released a series of Fried Chicken dishes. The fact that they use fermented diary in their marinate result in soft, tender and flavourful to the meat.

The Southern fried chicken with herbed waffle is one of their best selling dish. Well done savoury and crispy waffle, topped with cheddar, SF chicken, corn salsa, honey Sriracha sauce and a sunny side up egg served in a bed of salad leaves. The combination was sinfully delicious.

RM28.50 per serving.

In conjunction of National day and Malaysia day, there will be a series of Malaysian infused dishes like Beef rendang burger and Sambal belacan Aglio Olio available throughout August and September.

It’s been awhile since I have scotch egg. I’m glad to find it in one of the busiest café in Bangsar Village. Herb crusted chicken with a molten centrées egg served with zucchini pappardelle, rocket, cherry tomatoes and some pickled vegetables in a creamy tomato sauce. It’s a healthy version of pasta for those who wants to opt out gluten in their life. RM28 per serving.

Its french toast with ice cream and chocolate. Absolutely vile. It's mushy and tasteless and just a mess. Gave this a second chance and I regret it for a second time. DO NOT EAT THIS

I don't know how to describe this because it's too good! Not so sweet and it's refreshing! 😋 worth ur RM16/slice.

My favourite part of this dish - the southern biscuit. Crisp, savoury & slightly sweet, with that lovely buttermilk flavour. Unfortunately, the rest were a bit of a let down - fried chicken thigh, really juicy but lacked flavour, scrambled eggs felt like eating cream & potatoes were alright; just loads of fried on one plate.

Chocolate sponge, layered with malted cream & caramel. Really liked this cake, moist & creamy but not cloyingly so, + not too sweet either.

Nestled in a quiet area of Bangsar Village 2, this unpretentious cafe bustles with a crowd even on weekdays. The space is nothing-special but their food is what you should really come for. The menu has an excellent variety of meaty, greasy options, which makes it one of our top spots for a hangover brunch. What's more, the breakfast and brunch menu is served all-day so you don't have to worry about waking up late for the meal. Bring a friend for company — perhaps the one you had drinks with the night before — and order the Salted Beef Hash (RM24). The instantly remedying dish sees a fried egg atop sauteed potatoes, capsicums and salted beef chunks. Otherwise, tuck into the Southern Fried Breakfast (RM28). The Burpple community loves this dish for its scrumptious fried chicken and buttermilk biscuit combo that hits all the right notes of Southern flavours.

Generous chunks of salted beef with pan fried potatoes and capsicum. Yummy!

A little too sweet but if you love creme brulee, you should totally give this a try

RM16

Well executed dessert

Crisp on the outside, fluffy yet not too moist on the inside.
The fragrance of the egg goes too well with the vanilla ice cream.

Prefer it without the passion fruit jam as the citrusy taste may overpower the taste of the egg.
Some may find the acidity a perfect balance to the sweetness of the toast and ice cream.

8/10 Im coming back for more

It's the famous brekkie of choice - egg Benedict with the addition of salmon! But I would prefer having the one at yeast

Heard that the cakes are good here but wanted a caffeine..

Always a fave for my husband and myself. The first time I had it was last year and I remembered how GOOD it tasted like and honest to God, I felt like I was back in Virginia or in another southern state in the US. And don't let me get started with the biscuits! Dear Lord, have mercy on me! I'm so glad that my husband actually approves on this dish and since he's into all things Southern now, the chicken is definitely on top of his favorite breakfast dish!

The cake wasn't too sweet but on it's own, it is a little dry. Thank god for the ice-cream which makes it just right :)

Really really love their baked beans and tomatoes. Much better than Antipodean's!

I really went OMG on the first bite. I LOVE THIS CAKE. Haven't had a cake like this in a very long time. Not too rich. Fluffy. Perfect ganache. Vanilla ice cream to tone down and cool everything. Ah! This cake was selling off fast. I really wanted another one. :( But this was rather pricey. Food: 9/10 Price: 7/10
