This tastes very different from normal. It's got a particular aroma, very hard to say what, but not enough depth. Decent but not really stunning, a well executed traditional one would have been much more pleasing. It's crisp though
There's a light fragrance to the rice, and it's very fluffy with more bite than normal. Pretty delicious
Only 1 size. Service is ridiculously fast for this, and could have been warmer...
Not very tender, and mild too. No heat. Very average
Slightly watery, a lighter style with substantial heat. Not too bad, and definitely more worth it at 1++ more than the small portion. Good for sharing between 2

Just sharing the delicious meal we had for lunch recently from Pagi Sore, an authentic Indonesian restaurant located at Telok Ayer:
~Tahu Telor ($12.20): Crispy and fluffy, served with Chef Liyana’s special sauce, which gave it that extra oomph!
~Ayam Panggang Bali ($9.90): Grilled to perfection, the chicken was juicy and well marinated!
~Angus Rendang Sapi ($15.80): Fork-tender and very flavourful; this was my favorite dish! Goes so well with rice!
~Butterflypea Jasmine Rice ($1.20): Fragrant rice that’s wrapped in banana leaf.
~Emping Belinjo ($2.40): Light, crispy snack that goes really well with the sambal belacan!

This was the best dish of the night. The sotong was fresh and very crispy. The crunch was still strong even at the end of the meal. The sugary butter bits were really yummy. I picked out as much as possible, would have licked the plate if I could. I think salted egg was used too. So good.
This was the large size. Basically grilled boneless chicken thigh glazed with Balinese-styled sweet and savory sauce. Not spicy. It was absolutely delicious.
This had only one size. The beef was very tender and the dry spice paste was delicious. Very flavorful. Not very oily. One of the best I’ve tried.
Quite spicy but seasoned perfectly. Vege was fresh and the gravy was great with rice.
Had lunch here with a lot of food! The most impressive one is definitely tehu telok - the deep fried egg with tofu. The tofu is very soft and goes really well with the egg and the sauce - something I can finish it on my own!
