Love love penny university, their offerings never disappoint!
Espresso with oat milk ($6.50)
Made with otis oat milk, the oaty taste is subtle and not too overbearing (looking at you, Oatly) and the coffee is not too acidic as well. Perfect combination! Loved it, will be back for more!!
White chocolate lemon tart ($8.50)
All time favourite, have been back many times for this and it’s still as good as the first time I ate it. Tangy lemon taste coupled with the fragrant cookie base, yum yum. Must order at penny!
Mint chocolate ($6.50)
This is a refreshing drink with a subtle minty taste; not very sweet and it tastes slightly bland, but pairs really well with the sweetness of the tart. 🤤
Tried the Duck Ragout and surprisingly i loved it!! Tried the Spike Espresso but its not a WOW from me! But ofcus it all depends on personal preference
The Mac & Cheese here was surprisingly a lot like comfort food, and quite hearty. While slightly gelat, it was served in the right proportion, so it was just nice.
The Turkish Eggs were pretty good too, and it was my first time trying this dish!
There tends to be a queue at Penny University on weekends, and they’re fully booked till late in the afternoon. Good to get a reservation or go early!
eggs was served with BRIOCHE instead of the usual sourdough and it was so good!! reasonably priced & good service though location was slightly inconvenient
If you are ever around the east, do pop by Penny U for their coffee & bakes!
What’s on the table: Ebiko Prawn pasta, Truffle fries, Beef chilli Mac ‘n’ Cheese, Cold Brew Mint Chocolate
Ebiko Prawn pasta was surprisingly yummy! The tagliatelle pasta gave a really nice bite and the complementing smoked fish cream wasn’t too overly cloying. Grilled tiger prawns were also very fresh!
