The rice was really fragrant and there's a host of interesting garnish. But it's let down by a very bland chicken accompaniment.
Part of the Christmas menu. Pork collar is a common sight in Thai cuisine, but at $26, this was daylight robbery. Look at the portion and the cooking. The meat was okay since it's collar, but the dish was simply undefined.
3.5⭐ Had lunch here since there's 1 for 1 Burpple deal. The deal is restricted to soup, curry, vege and rice/noodle hence we ordered 1 from each category. All dishes are actually above average except the red curry roast duck which we keep eating duck skin instead of duck meat.

Popular dish. Attractive and a mouthwatering idea. But I wished it had more flavour and was more tender. The stuffing refers to removing the two bones from the top half of the wing and stuffing more meat in.
Ordered a special item- Giant River Prawn with special seafood sauce. Prawn was well cooked, extremely fresh and goes well with the sauce.
Came to try with 1-1 Burpple. Kang kong is well cooked with the right amount of chili and garlic. Love it! Very generous for M size.

Beef Green Curry - $17

I have unparalleled love for green curry. This bowl of green curry is thick and flavourful, a mix of sweet and spicy. It’s filled with tender sliced beef & veg. Pair it with a bowl of plain rice and that’s pure love

Sawadee Thai Cuisine

We all knew how textured and tasteless Thai durians can be, but with a touch of local and regional produces, the MSW Durian Sticky Rice (S$13.00) was a lot tastier, thanks to the richness and creaminess of the durian puree.
The sticky rice was probably cooked with natural butterfly pea flower dye to give the yellow flesh a contrast in colour, but the drizzle of coconut milk and the sesame seeds also gave the texture and taste a little uplift. As always, one would always ask why the cup was so small when the dessert was such a hit.
Better known as “Khao Phad Talay” in the native language, the Superior Seafood Fried Rice (S$18.00) was quite a tasty dish as it contained crab meat, prawns and conpoy, before garnished with some pork floss and coated with lots of crispy rice. Adding the latter created texture and bursting fragrance when chewed.
Portion-wise, this dish can be finished by one person if there were no other dishes to share on the dining table, but since I could apply Burpple Beyond offers here, it would be nice to also get a second Rice / Noodles dish just to try different foods within the same meal.

Used the burpple beyond deal which wrote Appetiser/salad AND Noodles/Rice AND drinks. Which i assume for 2 people, I'll get 4 dishes in total and 2 drinks. But instead waitress told us we could only get 2 dishes. So we got the pineapple fried rice as well as the glass noodles with prawn dish. Kindda felt cheated? As there's another deal stating that its 1 for 1 main dish. (i felt like we got this deal instead? Honestly very confused haha😵)
We are big fans of Thai Cuisine for their strong and rich sweet, sour and spicy flavours. Our must-orders are pad thai and green curry.
We tried Sawadee at Tan Quee Lan Street recently. Their pad thai was sweet and savoury with a distinct wokhei flavour. Loved that their pranws were big, fresh and juicy but their large portion was on the small side for a 2 to 3 pax serving. I could probably finish it on my own tbh.
We enjoyed their green curry with sliced beef. The beef was done just right and their green curry rich and creamy.
Price-wise, Sawadee is a little on the steep side but they can be found on #burpplebeyond! So do head down to give it a go!
Cosy little place for authentic thai cuisine, decor is nice, friendly staff, great tasting food
Your turn to plan date night? For good service, ambience and quality Thai food, Sawadee lives up to its reputation. Must-haves include their Thai Style Fish Cakes (from $10 for 3 pieces), Thai Red Curry Roast Duck ($18) and the Pan Seared Black Angus Beef Ribeye ($32 for 220g).

Dishes are definitely priced on the high side ($18 for large) This dish of bean sprout with fish maw was on the bland side, though the fish maw had a good texture and was relatively tasty. Wasn’t blown away by the food here.
A solid rendition, but overshadowed by the insanely good durian sticky rice. If you dont like durian this is a very good choice though
Given the price I tot it's gonna be a bigger portion instead of for 1, but damn this was soooooo good. The Mao shan Wang puree had just enough bite, such that it was soft and not fibrous, yet you can tell it came from genuine MSW. The flavour was top class as well. Must try if you love durian
Still soft but a lot chunkier than the fish cake and filled with seafood, this otah wasn't too bad but it was mildly flavoured and didn't have a dipping sauce.
At first I tot it's pretty mild but after a few bites, I gradually appreciated the well fried and separated grains, along with the chunks of juicy pineapple. Their olive fried rice is still the signature but if you've had that before, then this is worth a try
