Reviews of good food at Sembawang Hill Food Centre

Tho it looks plain, it's full of flavors. The sambal chilli is good too. It leans towards the dryer kind of Hokkien Mee.

The CKT here is pretty decent but the otah steals the limelight though. The otah's thick fish paste with bits of mackeral flakes and the slightly burnt fragrance of the banana leaf makes it a must order!

These days, it really is damn difficult to find a good Char Kway Teow stall :/

Supper is always a good idea (who needs sleep when you can have these tasty sticks of well-marinated, tender chicken?!)

Stall: Fresh Fish Seafood Soup One of the best!!!! Their fish is sooooooo fresh! Major πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ can never get tired of eating this πŸ˜‹

Nothing oily about this bowl, cooked just perfectly that a person like me would love it. It's not as "fatty" as it looked. And all the collagen is good for you and me! The gravy is light, not heavy and goes great with a bowl of plain right! Jang!

Words cannot describe how wonderful all the dishes tasted. Literally a hidden gem, only the residents knows about. The old lady was once on a long hiatus, of probably 6 months, that left many of us tearing inside. And now that she is back, we just have to eat here as often as we can. Her soup for the pig organ, is absolutely hearty, cloudy and divine, unlike some places where obviously very bland like drinking a bowl of water. Her ingredients are plenty and very clean (with no funky smell of whatsoever). The pig stomach soup is as peppery and spicy as it can get, without being too over. The bowl of white cloudy mess is so good, that my family spare no drop of the soup. And for the grand finale, that delicious bowl of black vinegar pig trotters just swoon me over. I am not much of a pig trotter fan, but this I love. It is not as oily or as fatty as many places, and her marination is done so right that it seeps right through the bones! Such simple meals, but big on good flavours.

Great way to treat yourself during the weekends! The porridge is nice! Like those good porridge where you can't feel the individual rice that makes it up. The duck is nice too, soft and tender. Would be back for more πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

($2.50) That genuine and friendly hawker stall owner that serves you nothing but what she believes is quality = deep impression left. (So much so that I had to try my best to picture this (poor) photo to record this recount.) At the fruit stall (01-30) of sembawang hill food centre, the stall aunt serves fresh fruits that are refreshingly sweet at honest prices. She then goes the extra mile for customers. For example she provided me a separate bag of ice to keep my takeaway fruits chilled, she also emptied and scrapped the coconut husk to provide me with this thirst-quenching decadent cup of fresh coconut juice. My day was made as I thank her sincerely after paying. #Hawkerpedia

($4/$5/$6) A very fulfilling bowl of BCM, the juicy ηŒͺ肝 and plump teochew dumpling deserves special mentionπŸ˜‹. The stall's pretty underrated, just a simple sign board without any display of awards/recommendation but do not be fooled for this is definitely one of the better BCM around! #Hawkerpedia

Whenever I come here, I always see 50% of the stalls in this food centre opened. Doesn't matter if it's lunch hour or dinner time. It's never fully operational. This char kway teow dish ($3) is really not bad.

When you think of local food... There's nothing more authentic than a plate of mix and match Chinese rojak. Simply just too yummy! #hawkerpedia

In this wet and rainy morning, wouldn't it be great to have a plate of economical bee hoon ($4) and finished off with a cup of teh-si.

No MSG yet super nice! Uncle said his kungfu is in the time control and temperature when boiling the duck.

Yummy. Value for money. Authentic Food cooked by stall holders. Ample car park.

Ah Ee traditional hokkien salted duck! This is so darn gooooood!!!!!
