Seng House

My wife and I were looking for a place to have dinner when we stumbled upon this restaurant along Tanjong Katong Road. Curious, we decided to give it a try and we’re so glad we did.

The interior took us on a nostalgic trip back to the ’70s, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, which made us feel very welcomed. After a few recommendations from the person in charge, we decided on two main courses and a dessert.

I ordered the Double Bacon Smash Burger, and it was absolutely fantastic. The homemade brioche bun was soft and buttery, and the Wagyu patties were cooked to perfection. Both my wife and I agreed it tastes better than Shake Shack’s version any day.

My wife went with the Homemade Spaghetti with Fresh Crab Meat in Special Chili Sauce. The flavors were bold and unique, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. A word of advice: go with the normal spice level because it already packs quite a punch! :)

For dessert, we tried the Durian Crème Brûlée, and it was the highlight of the evening. Topped with pure durian pengat and served with fresh blueberries and strawberries, it was one of the best crème brûlées we’ve ever had. A must-try for durian lovers!

A nice and chill spot in the Katong neighbourhood, Seng House truly surprised me with its quality food. We had the Double Bacon Mash Burger and Spaghetti Al Granchio, followed by their Durian Crème Brûlée. The burger was juicy and tender, while the spaghetti was incredibly delicious — a must-try for crab lovers who enjoy a little spice. To end the meal, the crème brûlée was rich, creamy, and absolutely satisfying. We’ll definitely be back again!

Very chill bar in a very chill neighbourhood. Their fusion of chinese flavours with a western twist will leave you speechless. Definitely will be back again.

Didn’t expect much when I saw such a mixed menu, but everything was better than expected. The mac and cheese was rich, the squid was light and crunchy, and the churros were a great end to the meal. The pasta had a generous portion of crab meat in it. The new additions to the menu are a must try.
