Went and did it again. Solo buffet lunch because I had a $10 voucher to spare which was expiring soon. Paid $7.50 for this huge buffet meal which could have fed at least 4 people perhaps. The dessert selection was awesome. Especially loved the peanut mochi which I tried pairing with the matcha soft serve, and boy was it good. Swipe to the last few photos to look at my dessert "creation". Now, its food coma time. Oh, the lady at the table beside me told me that she wished she had my appetite because I sure ate my worth 😂

Found a gem here- Shabu Ichi has affordable hotpot buffet at $28 nett per person on a weekend. I personally prefer this to Shabu sai. Only down side is seafood is not included in the buffet selection, add ons available. Their ginseng tonkutsu broth was good and what i love most there was the peanut mochi lol!

Shabu Ichi carries a range of soup ranging from Flavorful Truffle Tonkotsu, Nourishing Collagen Paitan, Healthy Hakodate Shio Konbu, Revitalizing Ginseng Tonkotsu, Savoury Hokkaido Miso Butter and Zesty Spicy Saikyo Miso.

The buffet includes free flow meat (Beef, Chicken & Pork), vegetables, assorted mushrooms, fishball and noodles. They also have a dessert station with chocolate fondue and Hokkaido milk soft serve.

Premium seafood such as prawn, mussels, scallop, snow crab legs and wagyu beef are charged ala-carte and not included in the buffet.

We tried Truffle Tonkotsu and Collagen Paitan. I quite like the truffle tonkotsu with a nice yet not overpowering aroma while collagen paitan taste plain. Overall, I find this meal value for money with prices for adult starting from $18.90++ for 60mins weekday lunch and $20.90++ for 90mins all day lunch/dinner. The queue and waitlist gets really long during peak hour. It’s best to head down earlier or make a reservation beforehand.
