Shin Minori never disappoints. They always deliver good food, plenty of varieties, and constant improvement! Today I tried the hotpot for the first time. The prawn was so good! Other recommendable items are grilled hotate skewer, lamb chop, strawberry mochi. I love their sushi and sashimi items too. With Burrple Beyond deal it’s definitely worth it!

Lost count of how many times I have visited Shin Minori but they are definitely my No.1 go-to Japanese buffet place because of their food variety.

This time I went to try their hotpot which is what I have never ordered before because previously their hotpot is in a set with a fixed ingredients. But they changed the hotpot ingredients to ala carte order so I get to choose specific ingredients that I really want.

Ordered spicy miso soup but it was not spicy at all. Feel so cheated. But oh wells the miso taste was pretty strong.

And wahhh the beef slices MUST ORDER!!! 🀩 The nice beefy taste and the interlaced fats within the beef. Nice quality beef!!! The pork and scallop were not bad too! But not as mindblowing as the beef. The seafood paste was a big no for me. Even after cooking, the texture is so soft and weird. I didn’t like it but it might just be a personal preference thing.

My must-order sushi here will be fancy Unagi, Unagi chizu, mentaiko aburi, Hanabi Maki, dragonfly maki!
There are others that I will always order such as sashimi, grilled salmon, yakitori, gyoza and many more!

Putting this plate of sashimi moriawase aside, the portion sizes are really cute and I thought it's a good way of minimizing wastage as people usually tend to over order. Each order (sashimi aside) tends to be 1 piece and its great for a quick taste test.

Recommend the ichigo mochi! 🀀

Refreshing experience compared to what they had a couple years ago.

Service is much faster ever since they upgraded their ordering system to using your phone & QR code.

Sashimi and Yakimono are really good. Other items are meh.

Shout out to the 70 y/o waitress auntie who was really friendly and exceptional.

The standard items you would expect from a Japanese buffet is executed pretty well. The sashimi were thick cut slices and the tako was really tender and easy to chew. The skewers were fun to eat and seasoned well. The tempura was crunchy although the coating was abit thick. I was sad that the fried fish skin was out of stock but still happy with the selection we had. We went on a Sunday, and I think the food was served really quickly. The service was friendly :) Overall a great meal.
