It’s not my first time having seafood white beehoon, but having it in bak kut teh broth, this is the first. Surprisingly, the white beehoon and the broth actually go well together. It creates enough oomph for me to come back for more.
Though not your typical seafood white beehoon, but it was definitely still flavorful with every bite! Generous with ingredients like prawns, fishcake, sotong, clams, kailan and fried egg bits, it was a wholesome and very very yummy dish! (Especially with the mad eatigo discount of 50%) 👍🏻👍🏻
Admittedly this was pretty nice?? Fried ngoh hiang with prawn filling dipped in sweet sauce, truly a combination that doesn’t fail 🤤🤤 Only worth with eatigo’s 50% off, if not the other dishes are more filling and value, but definitely a yummy dish! 😋😋
Braised peanuts were nice, but braised egg was meh. Portion came a little smaller than I expected, but with eatigo’s 50% off, you can order as many servings of peanuts as possible! Perfect to pair with Bat Kut Teh 👍🏻👍🏻
Herbal soup was not too bad though pork ribs could have been more tender. But liked that the soup was refillable with other ingredients like liver, intestines and lettuce, with additional options of mushroom and taukee! Well worth with eatigo’s 50% off, plus the free flow soup refill and good service 👍🏻👍🏻 Try their dried Bat Kut Teh instead for a more flavorful surprise!
Yummerz in our tummerz! 🐽🐽 Tie Ban Dou Fu came with chocked full of ingredients! Tofu was generously doused in sauce with prawns, minced beef, green peas and topped off with an egg base! 🤤🤤 Well worth with eatigo’s 50% off!
Meat was quite nicely flavoured but could have been more tender! Liked the subtle touch of cuttlefish and mushroom just to jazz the dish up a little 😋😋 Super worth it especially with eatigo’s 50% off!
Again the broth makes this dish. So much umami and the eggs were well fried to slightly burnt for that intense flavour. Pair that with pork lard and you know it's gonna be an irresistible plate
Prefer the sauce to permeate the meat but I definitely can't argue with this as well. Incredibly umami sauce with the cuttlefish flavour, this is the kind of dish that begs for rice. Lip-smackingly good. Always loved dry bkt but never knew which place it originated from
But jk I think they forgot about my mushrooms
Can't rmb if there was gst and service charge
Anyway I don't understand why they don't have that many customers while songfa is stacked. The herbal broth is rather mild but very flavourful, I personally enjoyed it very much. The meat was slightly dry but it was still passable. Other than that they have a few slices of liver and stomach in the soup as well.
Nah, don't expect this plate of white beehoon to be like those of Sembawang White Beehoon or even tzi char stalls because this comes in a shade of brown and seemingly cooked with the broth used for their bak kut teh 😂 Nonetheless, still a good plate of beehoon with every strand thoroughly infused with the rich and flavourful broth, topped with 1 crayfish, 2 prawns, 2 clams, some fishcake, greens and pork lard. Their normal seafood white beehoon is a mere $9.90 so I'm not too sure if this small crayfish is really worth that additional $6.
They also have other offerings like their signature bak kut teh (soup/dry), braised items, claypot rice, and meats and veges that resembles those of tzi char stalls.
Generous portions of egg and freshly cooked! The tofu was a bit on the fried side - would have preferred a softer variant but the aroma was heavenly. They are known for their Bak Kuh Teh, but also serve up excellent zi char and claypot rice. .
