From the Burpple community

The poorly worded Burpple deal gave our group of 4 a false impression that the set for 2 would be 1 for 1, given that the estimated savings was listed at $56, the price of one set. To our horror, the deal was actually merely the Set For 2, which gave us only savings of about $15, instead of what was expected - causing our group to pay double the expected price. Additionally, the Carbonara was overly oily and cheesy, the Frutti di Mare was overly oily as well, and the Truffle Fries were more batter than potato.

I highly advise anyone using the Burpple Beyond deal to take a second look at the deal mentioned, and not be fooled by the inflated estimated savings as mentioned. I also hope that the restaurant can update their listing on Burpple to reflect the actual estimated savings, which is about $15-$20, in order to prevent such misunderstandings to patrons in the future. Thank you.

Mushroom bruschetta - $8++ for 4 pieces , not worth the full price . Bread was slightly soggy from the liquid of the mushroom .

Spicy salami pizza - tasted like an average pepperoni pizza with a strong tomato base . Crust was chewy but weirdly salty . Pizza worth the try but would go for anothsr flavour in future .

Baked chicken and mushroom penne in a truffle cream base !! Added the truffle pate (+3.90) but didn’t do much to the dish , skip it . Pasta was done al dente with a very strong truffle flavour ! Loved it but got gelat real quick so would advise to share !

Saw the Burpple deal. Wanted to use the deal to share between 3 of my other friends. Was told by the waitress that if we were to use the deal: we are not allowed to share the dishes amongst ourselves. What kind of rule is that? Anyway, decided not to use the deal since 4 of us can’t eat that much and ordered carbonara, crab meat pasta and truffle mushroom pizza. Carbonara tasted like plain pasta water- tasteless and disgusting and dry. The rest were ok.

We were looking forward to try this unique looking pizza which looks like a mega curry puff instead of a traditional flat base pizza but we found it underwhelming. The crust was not bad, slightly salted and chewy, though at the edges it got a bit too dry and hard. Guess that's what the small cup of tomato pasta sauce is for – to dip the edges? The filling (mozzarella, tomato, mushrooms, ham) was not very well distributed as the majority of it was at the centre. Even when we reached the centre, we thought that there wasn't enough filling and perhaps more ingredients (maybe onions and capsicums?) could be added to make the taste less monotonous and more flavourful.

We ordered this as part of the pizza set under bupple beyond, and overall we would say that the set is worth the money and a try since it comes with bruschetta, truffle fries and 2 drinks as well for $39++.
