Came for this and it wasn’t as nice as it used to be! The noodles dried up so quickly and we got jelat of it after awhile. The cheesy fish balls are still good though 😋

Maybe you haven’t thought Cheese Instant Noodles with Grilled Pork Neck would be possible.

You mix the cheesy sauce and the noodles up. It was like that nacho cheese sauce you get from the cinemas, except that this seemed milkier.

The cheese was just the right texture and amount that will not leave you ‘jelat’ (I’m not sure what the English translation for this word is, if you know, please put in the comments!) and who doesn’t like instant noodles! ❤️ I will miss this everyday until my next trip to Hong Kong 😭

Chance upon this teochew style braised duck eatery after the disappointment that the claypot rice stall just around the corner that we've travelled here for, rejected us (citing fully booked, when we can see it's not). It turns out not a bad thing after all. This is as authentic as you can get! With a nice boss fully enthusiastic in his food enterprise. His braised duck shop offers their well seasoned duck or goose, served with rice or noodle with picked mustard, tofu and a generous bowl of soup broiled with duck, pork and peanuts! Although at HK$80 (SGD15) its not a small amount to pay for a plate of braised duck rice, but the serving of a full large drumstick and wing; and its authentic taste means its more than worth it. I should mention that they serve pretty decent Chinese Oolong tea - complementary. The tea is served in a electric glass kettle which you can see heaps of nice tea leaves. That leaves you a good aftertaste and remove any greasiness in the food.
