$6 for instant noodles may seem excessive but hell if it wasn’t a satisfying bowl. They must have doused the richly umami soup swimming with chunks of minced pork and egg with a ton of MSG, because I could not stop drinking it. The lone slice of luncheon meat was no slouch either, thicc, salty and fresh from the fryer. It also helped that there were alot of greens in the soup to assuage my guilt somewhat at eating so unhealthily.

Prawn Noodle (dry)

Taste average, the portion is really small for a meal.

Carrot cake is not too bad overall. Omelette is not overly cooked and isnt too salty.
Price:$6

Prawn noodles at china square central. Taste normal, double the hawker price at $8. The pork ribs were quite juicy and tender though.

Flavourful and tasty. But starting at 6$ (small), maybe need to order a larger bowl next time.

As cbd veterans know, this prawn noodle shop used to be closer to far east sq (where dimbulah is now) before it moved and moved again. With each move the price goes up and standard of the prawn noodle goes down. But DID YOU KNOW? in the latest iteration at China sq 2, they also offer the ultimate comfort food of lala noodle! About 15 lala in a bowl of Maggi noodle and a half boiled EGG 🥚. some might find it ex for a simple dish but cbd office slaves do not have the time to go find lala and egg to zhng their maggi. Long queues at lunchtime (obv).
💡You can taste the lala more in the non-tomyam version.
